This is pretty tentative, but has anyone heard of Animal Planet working on something new? Some of the Furcast people mention it, and a couple of months ago there was a bit of a stir amongst the Otherkin.

This week on KnotCast, we discuss boobs. Full cast this week, with us talking about being old, reading a handful of emails, and then we spend half an hour discussing the topic that was posted on our FA. There are some exciting turns of phrase. Even with just 8 emails this week it's nearly 2 hours long. The "Ready Kids" web site of the US Federal Emergency Management Agency enlists a family of mountain lions to teach kids about preparing for emergencies:



Rex the dad is an explorer who loves taking his family on adventures. Purrcilla is the energetic and wise mom. And Rory is the strong-willed daughter who loves helping her parents plan for the family's many adventures.

The site includes three one-page comics on aspects of preparedness, as well as games, coloring pages and other activities. Illustrations by former Disney artist Betsy Baytos, who worked on The Rescuers, Pete's Dragon, Fox & The Hound, Mickey's Christmas Carol & The Black Cauldron.

Sporty and his son Koda

Back in February and March, we told you about SportyPup - Through February, March and April, we kept you updated on his condition as he battled with a failing heart due to a damaged heart valve.  The surgery was successful and as of late April, Sporty seemed to be doing very well – even feeling up to suiting at different Furry conventions.

In late July, we heard he was beginning to have health issues again.  Those issues have escalated and he has landed back in the hospital several times.  It seems the heart valve is fine, but there is damage to the rest of his heart, and he has suffered a stroke that has affected his left side, including his vision.

At this point, he is forced to walk away from his job – a business he built doing construction.  He’s dealing with heavy medical bills, but more urgent than the bills, is the care for his son Koda.

We’re asking everyone who can afford it to donate to Sporty – Part of the money will go to his medical treatment and part will go to a nest egg for his son in case anything happens to Sporty.

It starts out with me meeting up with a local furry friend who wants to meet up with even more of our friends , and through a series of crazy events, we end up at an bigger gathering, where it's regular people with their tails and fursuits and such, and we all eventually make our way to a big party club, where there's regular people that run at the sight of all of us showing up because they can't handle such uniqueness (they are all a bunch of hot topic/goth freaks) we realize that the party club has been abandoned and we take over. After I explore the place a little, there's suddenly a strange shift in the atmosphere and everyone in the club, the music in the club dies down, the lights get dark, and then everything kicks back on at once, revealing that everyone that came into the club has shifted to their anthro animal counterpart, and the music's louder, there's heavy thumbing club , drum and bass and some rock music playing, and everyone's just having a damn good time. The party goes on for hours and hours, there's no problems and as the sun starts to come out, it shines down through the skylights and we all start to realize that the party's about to end... as the music dies down the club has a loudspeaker come over that sounds like the 'prepare for landing, welcome back home' stuff you hear in movies that involve NASA and space ships and such...and that's about the point where I start to wake up..

Probably one of my most favorite dreams of all time.

The Six Crowns is a brand-new anthropomorphic fantasy novel series. It’s written by Allan Jones, illustrated by Gary Chalk, and published by Greenwillow Books. (In the UK, the series is known as Sundered Lands.) The first book in the series, Trundle’s Quest, introduces us to a humble yet ultimately heroic hedgehog. Here’s the publisher’s description from Amazon: “Trundle doesn’t think he’s an adventurer. He’s a lamplighter. This topic proved pretty popular, with five different people writing in to tell us what they like! This episode is all over the place, and several of the cast members crack up on multiple occasions as topics range from Mary Poppins to bubblegum to the Holocaust to Pokemon to…well, you’ll just have to download it and listen. This one defies description, even going so far as to make Kyo do the requisite writhing in the first five minutes!

Our next episode is all about that furriest of all gatherings, the convention. Do you like them? Do you hate them? Which ones do you attend? Do you have questions, misconceptions, worries about them? All three cast members of Fuzzy Logic are experienced in the convention scene to a significant degree, and we’ve got lots of wisdom to share on the topic! Also, don’t forget that we’re here to help you with any issues you may have; if you want our advice, or just to be heard, sticking with the topic is purely optional!

One more thing to note: Our next episode will be recorded on Thursday, September 8th due to the fact that Kyo will be heading out for Mephit Furmeet on the 1st. Don’t panic when you don’t see a post on the 1st!
