Some great things happened during this month with FurEauction!

A new issue of Tales of the Tai-Pan Universe was mailed to all current subscribers earlier this week and will be available for purchase from Rabbit Valley soon! The issue may also be purchased directly from the editor at NorWesCon this weekend.

UPN has now picked up Wolf Lake. Commercials have already started airing on Sci Fi network.

Fitting in with this year's theme "Furry Noir" there will be a live-action Role Playing Game (LARP) occurring in the hallways at ConFurence, starting with a murder on Friday.

A recently-created furry portal called Fur Central has caused a few eyebrows to be lifted recently within the Furry community. The proprietor of the site has created a half-joking, half-serious list that he posts about once a week called "The Worst of the VCL." This hand-picked list profiles the thumbnails and description entries from various VCL artists. In the inaugral posting of the "Worst of the VCL" the author explains, "I've decided to start a new weekly feature ... for something that's been driving me nuts for a long, long time: bad art in the VCL. ... starting now, every week I will point out my picks for the 10 worst images from the VCL's recent uploads."

Just fyi, this isn't particularly furry, but it is funny, something I think most furs would enjoy. I didn't see any reviews and I figured I'd try my paw at one. I give it a 9 for the lack of furry content and this being a furry news site. Otherwise, its a 10.

After a long delay, Warner Bros/Cartoon Network finally published their classy memorial to Chuck Jones in The Hollywood Reporter and Variety. Containing scenes from many of Mr. Jones' most memorable cartoons, it was worth the wait.

It seems word is spreading over the newsgroups that Ross "Sibe" Reddick, wanted by quite a few artists and network admins for numerous counts of copyright violation, distribution of artwork, DoS attacks, and general script kiddie annoyances, has apparently landed himself in jail.

Now I must note that this claim has not been substantiated, and should be treated as rumor until someone can prove that the poster does in fact speak the truth..

Proving their creative bankruptcy further, Disney's sequel-machine has apparently shown signs of running dry. So, instead of writing an original script, what do we get instead? Amusement park ride-themed movies!

Aside from The Country Bears due this summer 2002, Eddie Murphy is negotiating to star in "Haunted Mansion."
