MEET OUR GUEST OF HONOR: TILT LONGTAIL

Tilt Longtail resides in Polk County, FL. He is a "redneck" furry but prefers the term "country fur". He lives in a house that used to be a barn, how furry is that!?! Tilt attended his first con in Feb 2005 (FWA!) and has been hooked ever since. FWA 2008 will be his 16th con!

Tilt has worked as a full time costume character at a major theme park in the Orlando, FL, area for over 15 years now. Also he has performed as many well known characters in other venues such as cruise ships and trade shows, and good ol' Wal Mart etc. He has constructed several fursuits/costumes as well.

"I am very pleased to be a Guest of Honor for FWA 2008. I remember arriving at my first con and while waiting at the traffic light to turn into the hotel, 3 or 4 furs cross the street wearing tails. I thought WTF? but now I too, like to wear my tail on special occasions. I have made so many wonderful friends all around the WORLD because of the furry fandom. I am always counting the days till the next con, because they keep getting better and better. And FWA 2008 will be no exception."

ART SHOW NOW ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS

The Art Show is now accepting submissions. The Art Show features an area for general artwork as well as a separate area for mature artwork not viewable by minors. Artwork is sold by written bid, with pieces receiving five or more bids automatically going to voice auction. The auction will take place on the Sunday of the convention, February 17, 2008. Even if you cannot attend the con, we will still accept your mailed-in submissions. The deadline for submissions for the Furry Weekend Atlanta 2008 Art Show will be February 1st, 2008. The Furry Weekend Atlanta Dealers Den is filling up rapidly. Prices on tables are $80 per table. The full-table price includes one Attending-level membership to the convention.
