It's not *bad* it just happens to look exactly the same as every other cheap new community type site appearing on the net every day :) New style people!
That's what happens when you use SlashCode... it's functional and is easy to navigate, I for one don't have any complaints.
There's a reason they all look the same, you know. It's a good readable design. There's no merit in using a novel design just for the sake of novelty.
PHPNuke, actually. Which has a good amount of bugs (such as your login name not appearing in comment sections...) I'm half-heartedly poking at different themes, though my first priority was to simply get it to run.
Overall, I like the whole slashcode look/effect. But... how do you look at a previous day's news, other than clicking directly on the stories? The dates themselves don't seem to be clickable.
A minor quibble for now... ;)
