Third time's the charm?

No votes yet

The oryx-loving lioness has adopted a third baby oryx.

For those keeping track, the first adopted oryx was killed by other lions. The second adopted oryx was placed in a zoo because it showed signs of malnutrition.

From the picture shown of lioness with calf, lioness looks very thin. I am wondering if this in particular lioness just cannot have cubs on her own so she has adopted to make up for it.

It would be nice if you could contact those who wrote the original story for more insight into this. Too bad it wasn't a lamb. :)
