Hey guys, I'm an artist who needs a few more commission examples and is just feeling like doing some free art! I won't be able to draw everyone's character, but if you guys wouldn't mind dropping some refs in here (visual or written) I'd be super grateful.

My favorite subjects are monsters, crazy stuff and unique hybrids, but feel free to post anything! I'm looking to do color sketches and icons mostly. I'll probably start drawing sometime later tonight and will continue sporadically through next week, since free art is super fun to do in between commissions and stuff. :)

Here’s an e-book we recently stumbled across: Legacy by Hugo Jackson is the author’s first book, and also the start of “The Resonance Tetralogy”, which presumably means there will be three books to follow. “Faria Phiraco [a fox ] is a ‘resonator’, a manipulator of crystals from the moon who wields control of the elements. ...VancouFur in, well, Vancouver! I have a table in the artists alley and although I am not a furry per say I do have a particular love of drawing and characterizing animals. I'm hoping thus pick up some commission/freelance work while I'm there. Anyway, really my point in posting is just to ask for advice. Do those of you who attend Furry Cons often approach artists for work and if so what attracts you to an artists/what do you expect of them etc?

I'm not expecting to make huge mega-bucks or anything, in fact I'm mainly looking for Con experience, but whatever wisdom you guys have to share would be appreciated a-hundred fold XD

Oh yessssss…. it’s that time of the year again! Get your favorite artists, writers and whatever other furry entertainment collected and head over to the Ursa Awards. The awards are the fandoms time to shine with the best of the best. Starting now until February 29th you can nominate your fav. fandom peeps, so come March 15th we can vote! Winners receive a certificate award to hang in thier house next to thier Emmy(if you don’t have a Emmy, high school awards work) and get the confidence to know they really are on top of the furpile. Our podcast has regained the purple, and – with no conventions in our plans until Furry Fiesta – we should have him for several episodes to come! We go through three e-mails this week, including one praising the podcast, one asking about what kinds of toys the cast likes, and one update from Richter about the sleep issues upon which we advised him! Also covered is Kyo’s experience at Further Confusion, how the podcast will handle popularity, a Legend of Zelda concert, Pee Wee Herman, and lots more of whatever it is we do!

Next week’s topic is all about your childhood and nostalgia. What was it like growing up for you? What are some of your fondest childhood memories? What do you need help getting over? What would you love to see revisited (Reboot), and what do you wish they’d let sit (Yogi Bear, Smurfs, Garfield, etc.)? Let us delve into your past, and remember: we’re here for you, your e-mails are the entire reason Fuzzy Logic exists!
