The website SFWeekly (SanFrancisco’s News site, blog thing) did a nice little blog on Lee Strom (fur name: Chairo) the Co-Founder of the first FurtherConfusion 1999. As you may or may not know Chairo was one the first fursuit makers for the fandom and this site points out some good facts if want to learn. That’s right… LEARN… it’s not porn sorry … you can put some knowledge in ya instead of other stuff…  Click here to see the page.

Well it’s good thing to know when it comes to the top strangest conventions we’re not the only ones. Today Oddee.com released it’s top 10 strangest conventions list,  included are Redhead day and The Office (show on NBC) day. We do however top the cake with #1 on the list, so either that’s a good thing orrrrr bad depending how you look at it.

Here’s a press release from Fred Patten of the Ursa Major Awards’ organizing group, the Anthropomorphic Literature and Arts Association: “Nominations are now open for the 2011 Ursa Major Awards, intended to recognize the best works published in the field of anthropomorphics last year. Nominations will close on February 29; voting starts March 15 and closes May 4 (to allow last-minute online voting from Morphicon). Furry fans may nominate up to five works in each category.  The 2011 Awards will be announced and presented in a ceremony at CaliFur VIII in Irvine, California, June 1 – 3, 2012. Award categories include Best Anthropomorphic Motion Picture, Dramatic Short Work or Series, Novel, Short Fiction, Other Literary Work, Graphic Story, Comic Strip, Magazine, Website, Published Illustration, and Game. If you cannot think of five worthwhile nominees in each category, see the 2011 Recommended Anthropomorphics List on the Ursa Major Awards website for suggestions.” Remember, something doesn’t have to be on the Recommended List to be nominated. It just has to have furry characters featured in it prominently, and have been released during the 2011 calender year.  So get started! [And we'll see you next after Further Confusion!]

Another Free partial … seems some furries are being generous all of a sudden….whatttt iss thisss? Okay enough of my talk, this time around the free partial comes from R_L works and actually be customized to your needs. The rules again are simple, post links in places and comment on the FA page. You’ll be picked at random if you win and you’ll be fabulous of course. So here is the rules and the main link:

1. You MUST be 18 years of age or older. If you are not 18 right now, you can not enter.

2. You MUST submit one, multi-view reference sheet of your character.

3. You character can have NO MORE THAN 4 FUR COLORS included in their design (otherwise the project becomes too costly for my business)

4. You MUST post a journal with a link to the contest entry journal in order to “pimp”, “promote”, or “advertise” this raffle/contest. And copy/paste the URL (link) of your journal in a comment below along with your character reference sheet as proof.

5. You MUST Watch this (my primary account) and/or my r_lworks fursuit account for updates regarding the winner and fursuit updates.

6. You MUST be willing to pay shipping for your costume. I can afford only the supplies and time it takes to make the suit. The winner is responsible for paying for the shipping/handling charges of the costume.

7. You can not set a deadline as for when the costume will be completed. It is up to me as the builder for this type of costume construction. (I have many other commissioners who have paid for their commissions and thus their projects have a higher priority than a free costume order)

8. Be friendly and please don’t spam. This is a fun chance to win a costume for yourself with little cost! So please be civil and wish everyone good luck!

The entry period will CLOSE after 500 applicants have applied or after 7 DAYS upon opening.
The winner MUST contact me via a note or email that will be provided to them upon their selection in order to claim their prize within 24 hours of the announcement of their selection.
A winner will be chosen upon the closing of the entry period via an online randomizer.
2nd, 3rd, and 4th place winners will also be selected in case the 1st place pick does not answer back claiming his/her prize.

There are many ways a journalist can cover a local event, add a little humor, and still leave the reader with information and some chuckles. However, in its coverage of a campaign to promote giving homes to animals in shelters, one NBC employee became completely enamored by the first image that popped into her head from the name of the campaign, and ran with it until all useful content of the coverage was forgotten in the slew of ‘edgy’ comedy.

I'll start, some have been posed here before (that's kinda what gave me the idea), but there are some great furry (whether made by furries or just containing anthro characters) animations out there. I love this sort of stuff, so I'll post some of my favourites and hope others post theirs.

Bad Dragon, the erotic toy company founded by Varka, Narse, Athus, and Raith, has had their business license revoked by the Arizona Corporation Commission.

The company failed to submit their annual business report, due last August 4. After the death of Athus in a vehicle accident, the report remained unfiled, and on November 7 was flagged as delinquent. As this went uncorrected, the license was formally revoked on January 11.

Update (Jan 21): The corporation has been reinstated as of January 19.

So thanks to KaneHusky I came across this awesome new-ish cartoon drawer, who of course if a furry. From what it seems he has no limits to adult humor on his boards. He put one video on YouTube for a test and hopes for more. Check out his FA account and follow him for newer stuff. Don’t get all butt hurt cause there isn’t lots of vids… you need to stick with him and show support so newer stuff can be written.

I'm sure most if not all of you are members of FurAffinity. I've been a member there for probably the last seven years or so. During that time I basically lurked, don't think I ever posted a thing. I've recently been looking for an outlet for my writing and decided to use FA. I created a new account and I'm ready to start writing. The only problem is I'm drawing a blank on where to start. That's where you lovely furries of Reddit come in. Throw ideas at me, I don't really care what they are. I'll gladly take requests that include your fursonas or just random anthros off the top of your head. I'm totally cool with writing erotica as well but there are some fetishes I'd rather not venture towards. It's best just to put your request out and there and I'll tell you if I'll do it or not.

I'm not saying I'll do all that are posted or that I'll do any of them quick. Please furries, you're my only hope.
