Need help about furry friend (bit of rant)
Hi /Furry
Recently a friend of mine decided to "come out" as a furry during one of our videogame nights, and my response to him was "cool, that hobby is kinda cool".
He continues and asking me if I wasn't furry at all in which I reply, "Maybe, I don't know. I find that hobby kinda cool but never thought anything more about it".
Then he continues asking why I mained wolf in smash bros and why I always play anthro character in most of the games we played together. At this part of our conversation I asked myself if he was for real. Then he goes on questioning my art that I do on my free time, which is pretty much wildlife and videogame fan art.
In the end of our conversation I said "Well, maybe a little then". Oh boy was that a mistake... the next couple of weeks he have been bombarded me with furry things. I reasoned with him that his hobby was kinda cool but could you not throw in in my face every single time we speak to each other.
Now he seems flustered and he said it was more of a lifestyle and not a hobby. I kinda responded: Alright, if you say so.
Lastly, as a person that is semi interested in this hobby/community. What can I do to not make my friend go absolute crazy and tell me how amazing furry lifestyle is. Rather than a hobby. Or am I wrong here even?
Been lurking here for a couple of days before made this throwaway-account to make this topic, I've seen some things I can consider good and some other things that I thought was kinda disturbing.
TL:DR; Friend came out as a furry and asked me a bunch of questions and said it was a lifestyle and not a hobby.
