Bunnies & Burrows
Whilst GMing for friends last week, one of my players mentioned Bunnies and Burrows. Looking it up, to my surprise it was an old role playing game best described as a cross between the settings of Watership Down and the combat of Lugaru (with combat named ‘bun fu’).
The first thing to have stood out was that it was one of the earliest RPGs to have been published, a mere 2 years after Dungeons & Dragons. It is argued to have introduced various innovations, namely being the first to allow you to role play a non-humanoid. By extension I suppose it means it was the first anthropomorphic RPG.
The second thing was B&B’s strong empathises on role playing and getting players to think their way out danger rather than rely on combat. As Steffan O’Sullivan (author of a revised edition) put it:
You're playing a rabbit, after all - how much combat do you want to do?!? If a GM in a fantasy game sends a wolf against a party of PCs, the players laugh at him. If a GM sends a wolf against a party of rabbit PCs, however, the players get very nervous! This means the players concentrate on out-tricking their opponents instead of fighting them - which makes for a very satisfying game.

Any nocturnals?
Hi guys. I'm pretty bored, and will most likely not be sleeping because I'm stupid, so I'd love to talk with anyone who's still up.

I pulled a Furry for Reddit Secret Santa, and I want to get them commissioned art of their fursona. Is that a bad idea?
What if they hate the artist's style? I was thinking I'd prepay an artist for a commission, and let the giftee and the artist talk it over directly.
Alternatively, do you have any fandom-related suggestions, or is that like asking "What should I get someone who likes video games?"

Has anyone been asked/volunteered to suit for a buisness or event, or has been a mascot before? [V.3]
Hey all. I'm posting this question again since it has been awhile, and I love seeing all of your stories and photos. You see, in the future, I hope to become a mascot during my college years. I'm also planning on working on-campus to save up the cash to get a full suit of my fursona. So, any advice or pointers would be welcome. Feel free to ask anything at all of me too, I like you guys and gals!

What Xbox One game do I get my boyfriend for Christmas?
Hi all! My new boyfriend is a FA lurker and has a thing for orcs and demons. He turned me onto Bigfinger's awesome "See No Evil" game. I'm trying to decide between Dragon Age Inquisition and Shadows of Mordor. He doesn't play many video games, but beat Destiny recently. Which of these two games, or anything else for Xbone, has the sexiest anthros? Will a noob be able to handle the challenge? Thanks guys!
Cat Bowser fan here myself :P

Bot down, need some feedback. (Cloudflare browser check)
Update: browser checks are required when "under attack" mode is activated. Every time FA feels is under a ddos, the bot will not mirror FA links and cosidering the way fa bot handles errors (one thread, wait and retry twice), other sites mirrors will be slower.
API endpoints are not affected by this (fa does not have API endpoints)
FurAffinity seems to have enabled cludflare's Browser checks. In essence, any bot-like activity is given an HTTP 503 (temporary unavailable) error.
Is late here in Euro so I will try to work arround this tomorrow but if you have any idea on how to let a bot get through this, drop a line.
Server can be VPN'd into. I can login correctly usin firefox/opera from the server IP.
Bot also has, in theory, the hability to store cookies when mandated but that is not 'good enough' for flare.
(Reposted ;)
I don't want to deploy a real firefox on a headless server. Do you know how tedious is to setup an Xserver on a normal machine? Can you imagine doing so without a screen?

Weird Question: If half-animal/anthropomorphic animal people were commonplace in society, would furries be viewed the same way/how would they be viewed?
Okay, I know this is a kind of weird question, but there is logic to it. First of all, a little context.
I'm writing an urban/modern fantasy story where half-animals (think kitsune/cat-girl/etc.) amongst many other fantasy races exist alongside humans (some are more common than others). While most of them live in the wild, a significant number of them sought shelter in human societies following the Great War, which after many years, they became a minority in said society. They themselves aren't heavily oppressed, though most non-humans are generally looked-down upon and cast aside by humans in general.
In such a world, do you think furries (the fandom) would be looked down upon the way they are here? If not, how would people react to furries? I have a general idea myself, but I wanted to hear you guys' opinions.
Again, sorry for the weird question... ._.'
