So I've been lurking for too long, I feel the need to provide something for the fandom. However, my talents behind the pencil lend themselves more towards mental images rather than physical, so I've decided to take up writing! However, real life stress is preventing me from thinking entirely clearly, and I'm having trouble coming up with ideas. If any of you could lend a hand, I would greatly appreciated it :D

That said, I won't be able to type this up as my only computer at the moment is my phone, so this will not be commissions (not yet at least), but rather ideas. If you could lend me a hand I would greatly appreciate it, thanks!

I have always been fascinated by furries, and would like to be able to consider myself a furry, but I am having a lot of trouble figuring out my fursona. I can pick other people's out, but cant make a decision on mine. To me, a fursona is more based off of personality rather than physical attributes. I would love some input! I am 19 years old. I am a heterosexual male. 210 lbs. Just in case physical attributes have any relevance.

Another blast from the past over at IDW Publishing as early next year they present the return of The Mighty Mutanimals. From Comicbook.com: “The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ uneasy allies, the Mutanimals, are getting their own minseries from IDW Publishing in February 2015. When someone close to the Mutanimals goes missing, the team consisting of Old Hob, Slash, Mondo Gecko, Herman the Hermit Crab, and Pigeon Pete will be put to the ultimate test, as they try to take on a mysterious new entity known as The Null Group. The series will written by Paul Allor, who has written several TMNT Micro-Seres one-shots, as well as The Ultrom Empire and Turtles in Time miniseries. Andy Kuhn, who created the new IDW design for Mutanimals leader Slash, will provide covers and interior art.” In full color of course.

Okay, TL;DR version up front. I'm looking for someone who would be willing to draw a/my fursona for me. See the last few lines of the post for description.

Now, if you want to keep reading, that would be great. Ever since I was young, I've always considered myself a furry. When the Internet became a common thing in my early teens, that's when I really discovered the term "furry" and that there were others out there that felt the same.

That was a relatively long time ago. About 16 years, in fact. I'm 29 now, and have considered myself a furry all this time, despite not actively participating in the fandom. Despite being a fur, I've never really had a fursona. Anything I participated in, be it role-plays, fanfics, or anything of that nature, I've just always been a "generic" red fox. Nothing special. Just you're typical vulpes vulpes.

However, lately I've just gotten this strong urge to make my non-existent fursona more tangible. I wanted something that was representative of my...furriness? I wanted something that was, well, me.

After all these years, I think I may have found myself. I would absolutely love to have a visual representation of my furry self, and I know there are a lot of amazing artists out there. Also, I'm quite familiar with commissions and paying artists for all their hard work (I've paid for several commissions - nonfur related). However, as things stand, it's not a wise financial decision for my family (myself, wife who is also a fur, and our son), to spend anything on something like this.

I know sometimes artists take request, and I was hoping I could find someone to help me out. I'm not looking for anything amazing, and any art from anyone I would be most grateful for. I realize I'm begging, and I'm ashamed of it, but as a friend told me regarding the issue, "There's no harm in asking."

So yeah. Thanks for listening to my bullshit, and a big thanks in advance to anyone who wants to help. Even if no one is willing or able to, I still want to thank everyone for participating in this sub, active or not~

Fursona Physical Description

My alias is SugarFox (was DarkFox all my life up until recently - angsty and cliche, I know, but come on, I was like 11 at the time :P ). I'm a male pink and white colored red fox fur with no specific markings. Most of my body is covered in pink fur (where a normal redfox would have his red or orange coat), and the white parts (tummy/thighs/tail/ears/etc) are, well, white. I do not have "hair" on my head, so no hairstyle. Just fur and ears. :) I also have green eyes. Stands about 6'0" with an average build (certainly not lean or muscular, but not chubby or larger). Again, as cheesy as it may sound, my big, floofy tail is my pride and joy~ I love da tail~

So yeah. There I am. Like I said, regardless of whether anyone is willing to do free art, I'm glad to finally start participating more actively in the furry community, and look forward to spending more time in this sub. :)
