Less than a year after the very first Art of Furry Fandom display opened at the Avant Garden Art Gallery in Santa Ana, California, the furries are back with a new exhibit — open now through the month of April. Once again curated by your own humble ed-otter and Mark Merlino, this year’s display features artwork by Steven Martin, Rivercoon, and Sherwood, as well as photography by Changa Lion. The art went up in time for the monthly Santa Ana Art Walk (every first Saturday), one of the biggest in Orange County, and the place was packed. The Avant Garden is located downstairs in the historic Santora Building (Ground Zero for the Santa Ana Artist Colony area) at 207 North Broadway Santa Ana, CA 92701. Hey guys! I know we get a decent amount of activity here but I was wondering, would it be allowed to post artwork that we really like from random artists we like? Like clean work? If its in the sidebar I can't see it cause I'm on my phone, I just have a lot of clean art saved and thought it would be cool to share some of my favorites every now and then.

A lot of the most common fursonas here are either carnivores or omnivores (e.g. foxes, dogs, cats). However, they often prey on animals that other furries are. What do you think your fursona eats? What they normally would, or something else?

More music. A bit more chatter. The first official 'Fuzzy Notes Challenge.' It's a crazy episode! Today we feature an AWESOME new collaboration with Colson and Gryff, some crazy bass slapping from Drumming Raccoon, a pretty stripped down track by Kai Yusky, an improvised piano piece from Flare Starfire, a pumping electro house track from Fayyette, go on a bit of an acid trip with Predysipe, hear about Space Jesus from Roo and close off with an epic theme from Dolphinboy! Also, the 'Fuzzy Notes Challenge' is introduced: a semi-regular musical challenge sent out to all furry songwriters, producers and musicians to try something different! All the information is in the episode, but the low down is: * You are given a basic concept - a theme, a single lyric, maybe a musical restriction - and I CHALLENGE you to write a song based on that concept. * Songs can be any genre…the only rule to be considered is it must somehow convey the concept * All songs submitted will be featured on a special episode of Fuzzy Notes * All songs are winners, but one will be chosen out of the group by a panel consisting of Potoroo, a furry musician, and someone involved in the music industry outside of furry (a recording artist, a producer, a manager, a radio promoter or personality, etc.) based on three factors: the relevance to the theme, creativity, and what can best be described as ‘How excited we are about the song!’ * The artist selected will have their own CODA interview episode focusing on their music and the song they created, bragging rights, and some kind of cool prize The goal is to challenge furry musicians to try something a bit different, and to get more furry music into the world...which benefits us all! The first Fuzzy Notes Challenge concept: RADIO SILENCE Use this as inspiration: maybe a lyric, maybe a mood, maybe you'll use radio static in your song...who knows! It's up to you!
