I thought that reddit might be interested in an event I am holding, seeing as my sculptures were so well received. I'm hosting an art contest over on Fur Affinity, but redditors/those who do not have an FA can participate as well.

Renashe's Art Competition! I have decided to host an art competition, with the prize being a full body sculpture from me! [http://imgur.com/RgnhaCS] [http://imgur.com/zsijsA3] I am extremely excited to be doing this, and look forward to any interest it will receive! The contest will end midnight on April 30th, and the winner will be announced May 1st the following day.

The Prize: The winner for will receive a custom a full body sculpture from myself. The winner can choose either anthro or feral, it will be painted. I will provide for shipping costs, even international is quite alright! There are limitations to the characters I can create. No humanoids, no mechanicals, no large wings, ect. If you are unsure of what I will accept for a sculpt, just ask! Additionally, anyone who enters this contest will be automatically entered in a raffle for a free colored sketch.

Subject Matter: [http://imgur.com/a/hnl9c] Try your hand at drawing my dragoness fursona,Renashe! It can be anything at all, sketch, full color.. anything you choose is fine! But please, NO adult content! Keep it mature at most! As for her character information: Renashe is an ancient tradewind spirit, and protector of the tropical ocean and harbinger of sea breezes. She is intelligent, precise, outspoken and honest. However, she is also very arrogant and desirous of power. Renashe enjoys basking in the tropical sun and soaking in the natural springs of lush jungles. She can also be found eating all sorts of fruit!

Contest Judging: What I am primarily looking for in this contest is personality, not necessarily quality or skill level. I love art with lots of character, and I look forward to seeing what others can create with my own beloved dragoness. There are many different things that could sway me to prefer a certain piece.

Hey hey peeps! Sadly, Killick wasn’t able to join the crew this week to do episode 69. Having him not there for such a high-class episode is like not having guns in America. So instead, Sepko and Ringo decided to sit down and chat about some of the stuff they’ve been doing over the last fortnight; while also foaming at the mouth about the movies coming out this year.

So I've recently found myself attracted to some furry material and wanted to ask some questions and since i don't have anyone in my life that is into this sort of thing I figured I would go here.

So, my questions. 1: Do you have to have a "fursona" to be considered a furry? 2: Is liking the art/comics/stories but not liking the whole fur suit thing something that happens or is a whole package? I like the idea of playing a cat/dog morph but the suit just kinda has a fake/creepy feel to me. IDK. 3: Is this a place I should be asking and trying to get a further understanding for this culture? I am interested and a little attracted to the idea in general.

These are just some questions I had when I first realized that I had an attraction to this and really love the stories and such.

So I got an opportunity from a friend who is a graphic designer and runs a printing company to get a guitar of mine wrapped in a vinyl. I think I'm going to get my Ibanez 8-string wrapped, but I wanna see about getting some art done for it! I was thinking maybe a regular pattern but an outline of a fox somewhere on it? I don't want it to look cheesy, but artistic. Maybe watercolor or a black designed background with a white pawprint somewhere in the foreground. Any ideas will be GREATLY appreciated!

So I'm 15 and not at all new to the Furry thing, just didn't exactly know what it was and got a taste for the hate of the fandom and the stereotypes and whatnot at least a year ago and got scared off, but now I'm here. Also knowing that I'm 15 makes me sound like a little brat hipster ( which I might be, dunno, ) so let's ignore that detail for now. I just wanted to say hi and talk whilst I jump into the fandom face first. Hopefully face first into fluff, not cement.

Any who, I do have a fur, Jay The Wolf, whom my username is based off of. Hopefully the photo is paired with this, I'm not sure how well my mobile app will work. The drawing is not by me but my a friend of mine (she also didn't know what furries were at the time, but now is one as well. their name is covered by my thumb obviously) although I do draw somewhat, mostly digitally. Me and some of my friends have had these characters since about 5 years ago, based off sonic the hedgehog, and only me and the artist of the drawing I presented went in to be furries and understand what was going on.

Currently I only know three furries, one is the friend I mentioned earlier, all of which I know in reality and talk to daily.

So... I guess I'm here to party then!

Like I said, I'm not new to the furry thing and I do know some of the NSFW saying and what knot (please never let me make that joke again,) but I am kinda new to actually being involved, so I guess I'm kinda nervous about just joining the fandom seriously. So let's talk! :3
