A straightness cone, also variously known as a straight hat, blue cap, or Fayroe’s hat, is a pointed hat, formerly used as an article of discipline in schools. In furry culture, it is typically made of paper and often marked with an S or the word “straight”, and given to furchildren to wear as punishment by public humiliation for misbehavior and, as the name implies, straightness.

References
I'm trying to get my fursona drawn. I have one feral of him/her (I kinda flip flop) but want an anthro and think a reference would be a good place to start. Can anyone recommend a few inexpensive artists to look into? With a special needs son, daughter, and my wife, moneys a bit tight so I can't afford to much but am still hoping to find someone on the less expensive side

Artists that draw wasps?
I'm looking to order a picture of me and a friend of mine who happens to be an anthro wasp. As a secret gift for him.
Does anyone here know artists who are willing to draw those creatures? I already know of Katsuke, StarvinArtMajor, Kitty_Silence as well as Impious, Zevex and Sarki.
I appreciate any help with this!

Strange Dream. What do you think it means?
So, I had a dream last night. It was strange, but amazing at the same time. Like...it felt like that should've been real, and not this world, where I'm sitting behind a desk all day. I was a creature that I don't quite remember or recognize. It felt like it was a real animal, though I had never seen it before. It was an adorable creature, and I was the pet of an cute girl. The thing that made that even stranger was that I, who am male in the real world, was female as this creature. The thing about this, was while I was this small, fluffy, adorable female creature, I was at the same time myself. Male and human. Yet, some people saw me as the creature, others saw me as myself, and this would be simultaneous. Like, I would have a conversation with someone as a human, yet the person who owned me, wouldn't see or hear this, she would see her pet. She did however, see that the other person was talking to me as the creature, yet getting no response. It was a fantastic dream and felt like it was the most natural thing that should be. Does anyone have any idea what this means?

I've grown fond of Snowskau's borelian species, so I decided to study their work (more to follow)
Paleofurs Tumblr
You might recall Rabbit’s recent article on furries who pre-date the furry fandom —the Paleofurs.
He is continuing to hunt for examples of paleofurs. Help him out over at his dedicated Tumblr: paleofurs.tumblr.com.

Furry Weekend 2014 Is Happening, So Get Your Fursuit On
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/22/furry-weekend-2014_n_5013076.html
It covers this weekend's Furry Weekend Atlanta.
The fur is flying in the South this weekend.
The 10th annual Furry Weekend Furry Weekend, a furry convention held in Atlanta, kicked off Thursday, and the fuzzy festivities will last through Sunday night.
Activities at this year's Furry Weekend, themed as "Furry University," include a fur-suit parade, workshops on building a collar, a talent competition and various dance classes and dance parties.
Last year, they even had a furry Harlem Shake:
Attendance costs for the whole four-day span of the convention ranges from $45-$250, or guests can buy a one-day pass for $25-$35.
The convention is the fourth largest gathering in the world for furries, meaning people who have an "interest in anthropomorphic animals and/or mythological or imaginary creatures which possess human or superhuman capabilities," according to WikiFur, a wiki managed by the furry community.
Many furries like to dress up like their animals of choice, but some express their interest through other ways, like art or performance. While some are sexually attracted to these anthropomorphic animals, this is not the case for all furries.
