Anyone interested in t-shirts or sweaters with your fursona on them?
My friend is really good with fabric paints, and may be opening for commissions soon. All she needs in a reference picture of your fursona! Here are some examples! My first furry convention!
Hey there! I'm pretty new to furry stuff, I've always liked furry type characters but it's pretty recently that I've been really into it. Well next month I plan on visiting my first furry convention. (Furfright) I was just wondering if anyone would like to share experiences of conventions they've attended or what I should expect. I'm a little nervous because I'm really not sure what to expect. I also wanted to know opinions of a cosplay idea I have. When I've attended other anime/comic book conventions I've sometimes cosplayed as Jessica rabbit. I was thinking of doing her cosplay as my fox. I don't do fur suits but I enjoy makeup work and was thinking of doing mrs rabbit as a red fox with ears, a tail(which I haven't made yet and makeup similar to this: http://m.flickr.com/#/photos/klaudiqa/7589477282/ Good idea? bad idea? whatever you think or your experiences are, Thanks for your time! Also!! the makeup picture is'n't mine. It's one I found and wanted to base my make up on, but I do not take any credit for it!

Anger and a Switch Blade Do Not Make Good Roommates
I believe I should start by saying, I am a college student who lives in the dorms and I have made various friends and I had constantly been picked on, as well as my other friends, but I have learned to just brush it off...
Here is my concern: My roommate is one of my very close friends, who has a bit of a tendency to get mad quickly, especially when it comes to me. My fear is that he managed to sneak a switch blade into the dorms! I am afraid he is going to hurt someone! He usually comes into the room when [he] is mad and yells, but my other roommate and another close friend has had to hold him back on a couple of occasions BEFORE he got the blade.
I have asked him several times to take it back home, give it to me to put away, or at LEAST to leave it in the room, stating my fear that his short fuse is going to cause him to make a grave mistake...
Every time he blows me off saying "He isn't stupid" or "He wouldn't do that," but I can see in his eyes every time he gets mad... His hands quiver over his pocket when he is in the room...
What can I say to make him listen?
Signed,
Highwind

Hi, Highwind,
This is something that you should not handle yourself. Go to your RA and tell them about what is going on. You should trust your gut on this and not second guess yourself. If you feel he could potentially be dangerous, take it to someone who can do something about it.
I know you say this guy is a friend, but I would also suggest you find new living arrangements. This is not something to treat lightly.
Let me know how it goes.

Dear PapaBear,
Thank you very much for your advice; it really did help. I talked to my RA and we all sat and had a talk (and let me clarify when I said "especially when it comes to me" I meant when people pick on me and what not). Luckily, as extreme as the college can be with stuff like this, it went smoothly, and instead of expulsion he is going to be placed in anger management classes. When his temper isn't flaring (again let me say this much when I FIRST arrived he used to be worse with his temper) he is a really nice guy who would go through heck and back for people close to him... Smart too...
So let me just say it again, thank you very much PapaBear.
With love,
Highwind
P.S: Lots of hugs from this fluffy wolf
I had to share this awesomeness with you: Me and my best friend <3 Im the big red one.
I'm pretty sure I'm a furry.
What else can I say?
I've known about furries ever since I first started using the internet, and it's always interested me, but I never really gave it much thought other than 'that's cool but it's weird', but now I just love it. I've been researching the basics, famous furs, fursuits, and artists because I think this whole thing is so amazing.
Most of my friends dislike furries, and won't accept anything that doesn't portray them negatively. I used to think it was some cult group, but I now know how wrong I was.
I think I'm ready to consider myself as a Furry, but I don't want to go public with it.
After working with a friend who is a furry, I've gained my fursona, Skitt. I'm so happy that I can be a part of this great community.

Drawing goats on my phone is fun fun fun
[request] would anyone be willing to draw a dragon for my friend who's at basic?
my best friend is a US marine, and he has this blue stuffed dragon that he kept in his bed, and i was hoping to draw it and send him a picture, but i've been trying and having absolutely no luck getting it to look how i want. i'm not looking for anything terribly detailed, just a simple headshot of a grinning dragon would be perfect. cute might be more appropriate than fearsome, but i could go either way. it doesn't have to be in color, i can take care of that myself. i can give more details if you want.
if you have any tips, or know of any kind of guide i could use to draw it myself, that would be greatly appreciated as well.
thanks in advance! :)

My little sister (7) always watches me draw. She came to me today and told me that this was her fox :)
Need help with choosing an animal for a character.
So in my short stories I've been writing on and off for the past 5 months, I now have a new character who's name is Zyphyr. He's an aeromancer apprentice (magic user specializing in air magic) and I really need an animal for him, already have a wolf ranger, and cat thief. I'm trying to avoid an avian because I don't feel that fits him very well. Dragons tend to have magic come naturally and are really more of the giant creatures in mythos than anthros in this world. Any ideas?
