Just looking around on FA, being a new fur and such, and I see a lot of groups of people and such. I'm pretty sure my friends irl aren't and I don't want to find out, and get chastised if they arn't. I'm in high school for age reference. How did you meet your fur friends? Sites? Ect.?

Recently on YouTube, Dreamworks Animation released the official trailer for How to Train Your Dragon 2, coming to theaters in June of 2014. Absolutely nothing about the plot is revealed, but it’s easy to see that both Toothless the night fury and his rider Hiccup have grown up considerably — and learned a lot about aerial acrobatics.  The new film is both written and directed by Dean Deblois, half of the team that directed the first film.

My family has always been pretty accepting, as far as sexuality goes. I came out to them as trans & pansexual, and they seemed completely alright with it. I kind of want to let them know that I'm a furry as well, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I feel like the media's representation of furries would cause them to have a negative response. How can I prevent this? Or is it even worth it to tell them?

On a side note, I have talked to my younger brothers about furries before, and I know at least one of them is one himself (I can't remember which). So this post is more asking about coming out to my mother; I feel confident that I could come out to my brothers without consequence.

So, I know a lot of furries are active in long distance relationships, as I was myself. I met this guy my age on the forum 'FurryTeens'. Yes, I am a teenager. And, for the last 5 months, we've been in a long distance relationship, skyping every night, texting 24/7, we were madly in love. Or so I thought. He was amazing, I absolutely loved him and every part of him. My parents liked him too, my father and I made plans to road trip up to see him (we had already met IRL). But, today, he called me. * He said he had been feeling like we were incompatible for awhile, which came as a huge shock to me. I... I just don't know how to deal with this. Of course I still have feelings for him, I still love him. I just don't know what the wisest course of action is.

Now, I know I'm probably going to get downvoted for posting relationship stuff in the furry forum, but, you guys are such a nice and wise bunch, I was just hoping to get some advice. Thanks in advance <3

• just a side note, things had been going on before. He would randomly get really depressed or angry, and would never tell me why. He would always say "If I told you, it would hurt you." Or the whole "You deserve someone better". I had always thought that was just him not in his right mind, but looking back, I think it was just him wanting to break up to too scared of hurting me to tell me. So, I was always very sweet and tried to cheer him up, and tell him 'We'll get through this. And I again, I was oblivious to what really was going to happen. So needless to say, I'm crushed. And he told me he liked me, just not as a partner. And I get that, except for the fact that we were in a relationship for shy of half a year. And, I'm probably just over-thinking everything at this point, but was this whole thing for waste?

I came out to my parents not because he asked me too, but to show how amazing he was, and because I knew he was going to make an impact on my life, and they deserved to know about it. I bought him birthday gifts, and never received one. I loved him, and poured my heart and soul into him. I still love him. But it's crushing me to know, it might've been for waste. ;~;
