Weekly RP session?
Just gauging interest as this idea won't leave me alone. I know there's a Furry RP subreddit but it seems pretty dead and I think this could be a lot of fun! I was thinking something along the lines of a Tekken or Street Fighter type RP where we pit two (or more) furs against each other. Each fur would write a story describing how their character bests the other. The story with the most upvotes would be the victor. Winners accumulate points and the one with the most points at the end gains the title of 'Ultimate Fighter' or some such equivalent.
General ideas and rules:
- Detailed description or ref sheet of your character required
- FA account would be needed for story hosting/linking purposes
- Stories would be submitted to me and posted in a weekly voting threading
- I'd create a separate Reddit ID specifically for the RP to avoid the Karma Conspiracy
- Only upvotes count. Downvotes get ignored.
- 500-1000 words per story (basically just straight-up action that way + ease of reading)
- Characters are teleported to a central hub just before the killing blow, where they are brought back to full health for the next fight.
- No meta-powers (invincibility, invulnerability, etc.) but superpowers and weapons are very yes
- No crying over losing. No drama. It's just a game :3
- HAVE FUN!
Critiques/Opinions are very welcome. Not sure, for instance, if 500-1000 would be enough to write a decent fight scene, so that may be negotiable. I have a general background idea for the whole thing (think LoL...with ALIENS) so I think I could get this going fairly quickly if there's some interest. And hey, you never know! It might be more interesting than the weekly 'what does furry mean to you?' thread ;)
