I need some advice. I really don't know about furries, so please excuse me if I don't have all of my facts straight.

So my son came to me today, crying, telling me he needed to talk about sex. He told me he recently found out that he was a furry, but that he also became interested in bdsm, especially rape porn. He started having fantasies about rape and considering how he could actually do it. He told me that the furry thing happened first, then he started getting into the rape porn through people he met in furry communities.

I just wanted to know what I should tell him, beyond just trying to comfort him. I've tried to keep an honest relationship with my son and I'm glad that he came to me before he acted on any of his impulses, but I was honestly so shocked that I didn't know what to say.

I'd also like to know how rape plays into being "furry", because from what I've been told, it seems like a large part of it.

tl;dr, my son told me that he's having sexual fantasies about rape, and that he got into it through the furry community

Brian Dyer, known in furry fandom as Athus Nadorian, was reportedly killed in a car accident.

Athus was an artist, and co-owner and lead designer for Bad Dragon, a company which specializes in toys of a sexual nature.

Athus died on October 11. The vehicle he was a passenger in was believed to have failed to yield to oncoming traffic when making a turn, resulting in a collision with another car. In response to his death, Athus’s mate, Narse, and his friends have set up a memorial website.

2: If you're not, why doesn't being a furry affect your stance, and why?

I only knew him through FC and as a friend-of-friends, but I always found him to be a charming and friendly fellow whom I was always glad to see. It's an understatement to say that he will be sorely missed.
