Hello everyone! I hope everyone is having a good day today. I must say again I really appreciate all of you who take thier time to participate in these threads. However I have to also regretfully state that I will be fairly busy today. While I will do my best to get to everybody eventually I will be unable to respond to many comments myself until later.

As always, if anyone has any ideas on how this thread could be improved upon, please do not hesitate to send me a PM. I would love to make this the best place it can be.

This is a thread dedicated to helping other furries who may be experiencing problems and are looking for somebody to talk to.

Users have sometimes stated that it is difficult to express their sorrows or misfortunes on this sub because they do not want to feel burdensome or unwelcome in what is normally a very happy-go-lucky environment. And so, this thread is to encourage furs to open up with their issues and to seek help from others.

If grief has been on your mind or something has been bothering you as of late, big or small, please leave a comment for myself and others to see if we can be of any help, or at least lend a sympathetic ear. Alternatively, if you feel pretty nice about yourself today, don't be afraid to browse any existing comments and see if you can make somebody's day a little better. Maybe you have experience with what that person might be dealing with. Or perhaps you just want to let them know that they have a person to talk to.

However, here are the principles from last week that should be considered:

• I am aware that unfortunately, misfortune does not have a curfew. This thread is not in any way meant to contain negative emotion on the sub, but is meant to be a convenient place for others to open up and find somebody to talk to. If you experience strife at any other time during the week, do not feel like you must wait until Saturday to state it. Please feel free to make your own post.

• This thread is not meant to replace professional help. If you feel that you could have depression or any other similar psychological condition, you are still invited to post, but it is highly recommended that you seek a form of professional help as well.

• Suffering is not a competition. Do not feel like your issues are too slight, or insignificant to post. You are invited to express your problems no matter their scale. Your sadness is just as valid as any others.

• Last but certainly not least, if you are responding to a comment do your best to be as thorough and insightful as possible. Do not just comment and forget about the other person afterward. While little pick-me-ups can help, do your best to be there for the other person. Encourage discussion and do not be afraid to have more in depth conversations. The comment section is always fine, but if either of you feel that you must talk in a more private setting, do not be afraid to use PM or Skype.

Hello, I have been a furry since 2014, and since then I haven't really been open about it, until now. I am having a hard time making furry friends, so I wanted to TRY and get involved in the furry Reddit community. If it helps, my fursona is "Alex". He is a red fox, and dresses like a teenager straight out of the 1950s :P He sometimes wears a leather jacket, other times he wears a "college jacket". He is relatively shy (like me) and is a little chubby (not like me :P )

I don't want to start a ccg war, but I wanted to know who out there plays them? For me personally, I've been a YGO fur for a long time and was hoping to see if anyfur had that YGO game on Xbox. Of course, comment about any CCG you play maybe you will make some new friends?

Heya! This is my introduction post. I'm not sure if /r/furry abides these posts or not, but lately, it seems there's been a ton of them popping up here, so why not give it a shot?

My name is Annika, but my friends online know me as Anni, so please call me that. Another nickname I go by is AJ which are the first two initials of my name, and my relatives usually call me that, so you can call me that as well. I'm pansexual, female (obviously), and I really love Panic at the Disco, golden retrievers, and macaroni & cheese. Did I mention I have a huge fangirl crush on Brendon Urie? Until recently, I've never really considered myself a furry, but I didn't hate furries, either.

After realizing how much I'm interested in this fandom, and acknowledging the fact that I've basically had a fursona ever since I was a darn little tyke, I finally accepted this fact. I look forward to making lots of new friends here, and sharing my artwork! You may have seen me comment a few times on some of the posts here, but now I thought of making an introductory post so that you all could get to know me.

I'm a young artist looking to make a name for myself online. I also voice act, and write. I have many fandoms, including Steven Universe, uh..FNaF (Apologies), Undertale, Attack on Titan, and well, now that I think of it, it'd take too long to list all my fandoms, haha. Now, for the moment you've all been waiting for.. MY FURSONA!

Kittykat, my fursona, is a dark red and bright yellow cat, and she's basically the same as me, except that she speaks her mind way more often, and isn't afraid to be honest, or explain her true feelings. She's also way more social, and loves to make friends. Like me, she loves PATD, goldens, and mac 'n cheese. She's an artist, too, so you could say she's a way more cooler version of me. :P

I made a couple of (really crappy) doodles of her just so you could get some visual of what she looks like!
