[We are so, so sorry for that one…] Earlier this year you may recall we mentioned an upcoming animated feature called Blazing Samurai. Well now thanks to Cartoon Brew we have a lot more information about it! “Arriving stateside August 4, 2017, from AMC Entertainment and Regal Entertainment’s Open Road Films, Blazing Samurai stars Michael Cera, Samuel L. Jackson, Ricky Gervais, George Takei, Gabriel Iglesias, Aasif Mandvi, Djimon Hounsou, Michelle Yeoh, Sandra Tsing Loh, Mel B., Heavenly Joy Jerkins, and Mel Brooks himself as a madcap array of cats and dogs comedically battling for samurai supremacy not in the Wild West but the faraway Japanese East. Co-directed by Alvin and the Chipmunks and Garfield animation supervisor Chris Bailey and veteran Disney animator Mark Koetsier, Blazing Samurai also features art direction from New Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show and Steven Universe’s Kevin Dart. Toronto, Canada-based CG animation and visual effects shop Arc Productions (Gnomeo & Juliet) is the lead animation house.” What’s more, Lion King / Mr. Peabody & Sherman director Rob Minkoff is on board as one of the producers. Quite a lot of big names attached to this project!

I'm a 37-year old living in the LA area who's been lurking in the furry scene for more than 20 years. (We first got internet at home in 1994, and one of the first things I searched for on WebCrawler was "werewolf". Down the rabbit hole I went.)

After standing on the sidelines for two decades, I've decided it's time to actually give this whole furry thing a try. I already have accounts on FA, SoFurry, and Weasyl, so I do have a minor presence already, but I rarely interact with anyone there - I mostly use those places for the gathering of, shall we say, "recreational" works. I've also written some stories, so there's that.

One of the biggest reasons it's taken me this long to delurk is because I've always been terrified of my real life acquaintances/family discovering that I'm a furry and using it as a point of ridicule. I've also had a crippling fear that people online would find out about me being furry (and the stuff I've written or the stuff I fap to) and use it as some sort of blackmail or - and I hate this term so much - cyberbullying. I've talked to my friends about this, though, and they're pretty much indifferent. And I don't really have an internet presence beyond a blog that I update maybe once a year, so trolling isn't really a concern anymore.

So allow me to introduce myself. I'm Loogaroo, the game show-loving werewolf. Hope I won't be a nuisance.

Sooooo.... what do I do now? Fursuits? Ref sheets? Fur cons? Help me out here, guys. I've got 20 years of catching up to do.

I want to roleplay a similar setup as that, but with a romance angle between two individuals. Obviously, it might get a little nsfw, but I'm looking at this kind of being a long-term thing.

I missed being a part of a community!

You can see my stuff on my FA page that I finally just brought back from the dead, if anyone is interested. I'll start working on new projects soon enough!

I'll have to take it easy for a while due to a busy schedule, but I have to say I did miss drawing.

Thanks to everyone who helped me get back on my feet by requesting stuff from me and allowing me to draw their character, hopefully I'll be able to pick it up easily again ;-;
