I have been part of the fandom for a little and recently made a Reddit account for my furry-identity. I'm still fairly confused of how i fit into the community and would love if anyone could help.

Personally I just really like the porn.

Some people might hate that but hey, that just my style. Saying that nobody in the fandom likes yiff isn't true and I feel like there are a lot of people in the same boat as me.

But I absolutely love to talk with people in the fandom just because it seems like most of you guys are really nice, kindhearted, and chatty. 95% of conversations I have nothing even furry related to them.

Other then whacking it and talking to you guys I don't really have much interaction with the fandom. I can't draw for shit, I don't have a fursona (My flair says donkey but like that's because some people give you flack for not having one), I don't have the money or drive to buy a fursuit, I don't really like to role-play, and I am not publicly a furry.

Because of where I live, everyone that I talk to is very similar and the furry community is where I get some fresh faces. Being gay, I always feel like an outsider. But here, I feel like I could tell everyone my deepest secrets and they wouldn't shame me and want to talk about them.

Like I hope I don't offend too many people and get like banned forever for not being a "real furry" but I just wanted to say, I love you guys. People think you are weirdos, and a lot of you are, but being normal is boring.

Edit: Involuntary sleep is about to claim me so I need to go for the night; feel free to keep posting though- I'll get you guys in the morning as it doesn't take me too long- and this is fun!

So I'm normally a pixel artist of a strange type; I do stuff like this (there is a pile of examples): http://imgur.com/a/WLN4p

I made my flair from scratch; I can do a flair icon that is an edit to the bases given by default or I can do a 'for scratch' one; it doesn't have to be a picture of the head but if you want a full body 'doll' of sort don't expect a lot of detail.

I'll choose about ten or so posts to do or more depending on what type of request I get- if I get edits it shouldn't take too long but a from scratch might.

Idek if this will get attention but I'm in the pixel mood and don't have any thing to do. :p

This will be my first con. What should I expect? Any tips? I'm hoping my mom will take me. She just learned about furries today when I asked her to go. She doesn't know about the NSFW stuff, Is there any NSFW booths to avoid or anything?

Hi! I love furry things, and have been part of the furry fandom for ages, and having been a Redditor for a long time, I feel like I should have found this sub before. Anyways, I draw a lot of furry things with pen/softlead/charcoal on paper, and I was wondering if that kinda art is voodoo here (i.e. not professional enough, I can't draw for the life of me with a mouse, and can't afford a Cintiq or a good scanner)?

Soooooo I just got offered to be a part time lab assistant at my universities nano-optics lab. I won't be writing papers since I'm still an undergraduate, but I'll be assisting in lab operations and in some experiments. Literally just waiting on paperwork to go through. I don't officially start until the 1st of June, but I'm going in from tomorrow onwards.

I'm just a teensy bit excited.
