The BBC has announced that they're going to air the last three books in the five part HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy as radio plays! Further information below. The
BBC has announced
that they'll air an adaptation by Above The Title Productions of Douglas Adams's books: Life, The Universe And Everything; So Long And Thanks For All The Fish; and Mostly Harmless. It is to start in the spring of 2004 and conclude by the end
of the year. Written and directed by Dirk Maggs, (who was Adams's own choice for a similar project before he died), they've coaxed back all the voices who made the original 12 radio episodes; Simon Jones, Geoffrey McGivern, Mark Wing-Davey, Susan Sheridan, Stephen Moore and William Franklyn as the book. They've also got Richard Griffiths to
play Slartibartfast. Adams himself will play Agrajag, courtesy previous recordings done for audio books.

I ought to mention, though, that the above link no longer seems to work. (It did yesterday!) html=http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/film/3000728.stm> Here's
one that seems to work for the upcoming HithHikers movie, though.

I really hope they do make the movie though. AND the final radio series. If they can pull it off, it will be truly awesome.
