dronon: In 1986, there was an animated Hungarian film called Macskafogó. YouTube has the full English dub, Cat City.

Fred: NYC subway + giant rat = panic! (Actually, that looks like a normal-sized rat to me.)

Fred: Around 1986 or '87, I was asked to try to get some American theatrical distributor interested in Cat City or another animated features by Pannonia, Hungary's state-run animation studio before the fall of its Communist government. No luck. But I was never given this English-dubbed version to show; just a subtitled copy of the Hungarian-language print.

Fred: There have been occasional news reports of squirrels going out of their way to attack people, and needing to be shot to stop them. But those have all been isolated squirrels, not all squirreldom at once.
