Popufur artists everywhere
So like. the latest thing is to post popular artist's art to get karma of them these days right?
I mean, it would make sense to post commissions you bought or your own work. But post work that isn't yours? Or rather art everyone probably already knows on FA or DA? I mean these guys are already well known, who wouldn't know these artists? Why not post more obscure people? they need more recognition than artists like kenket or falvie.
Or it's more important to hitch a ride on that karma train of popular artist's work.

Trading 3D art for ref sheet
Howdy!
I decided: I need ref sheet for my Fursona, I also recognized, that I cannot do it myself, the way I want it to .-.
Now: What can I offer you?
-3D modelled Art -Up to 16k (thats pretty much pixels ._.) pixels -Wallpapers, Basic Shapes, Texts, Intros, Simulations, Animations(up to insert unlimited time here) -Low Poly Art of Animals or your Fursona,IF detailed ref-sheet available (Yes 3D modelling is 3D. I need at least 2-3 different perspectives o_O) -NEW: Video tracing. OH whats this? see here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9l8mWxjCLgs (Cool planets huh?) OR this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yo9LTXP4sVM (Angle and shadows are wrong, but this is the basic Idea) -Hyperrealistic Water, Smoke, Fire and Glass Simulations/Pictures
Now: How would that look like? -Here are some examples:http://imgur.com/a/bvl3e (Psst. the second picture is 16k o.O) -And here on my Deviantart Page:http://xjoshix.deviantart.com/gallery/
How long do I have to wait? -Depends on what picture/animation/simulation you want. A picture takes about.. now.. I have to model it, and I have to simulate it (Smoke, Fire, Water), and I have to render it. Modelling: 1-4 Hours (It depends ;)), Simulate: 20/30 minutes-1/2 Hours, Rendering: 20 Minutes - A frckng Week(If its complex or have to look photorealistic)
What do you want? -I really want a ref sheet for my Fursona. If possible colored and/or digital
Got interested? PM me for further explainations :)

I'm new to this...
So I have been fairly interested in the furry fandom (community?) for a while now. I want to meet more furies in my city (San Diego, CA). Also some links to some necessary (or interesting) furry sites online would help too :).

[NSFW] Surprisingly neutral report about furries in Austria, despite furry porn even being shown in it. (14:42, German audio, English subtitles)
The Hero of Color City – animated movie review by Fred Patten.

Parents suck sometimes
So my mother has apparently decided that you're all creeps and it's making me very sad that she can't understand that furries are not pedophiles.

Welcoming Back And Old Friend…
Back in 1997, Antarctic Press decided to move away from funny animal comics (a move which brought about the birth of Radio Comix) and instead concentrate on “American Manga”. Well now, to celebrate their 30th anniversary Antarctic are back in the furry herd with a new full-color one-shot called Furry Tails. “As a special event for our 30th-anniversary year, Antarctic Press is going back to one of its (hairy) roots-anthropomorphic comics! Includes work from Sonic the Hedgehog artist David Hutchison, plus an all-new, all-furry fun-fest from Fred Perry! Fast and Furriest: When the world order makes every aspect of life miserable for the poor multitudes, Turbo Ninjas take to the highways to rob from the rich and give to the poor!” Check it out over at Bleeding Cool.

Mainstream advertising that features furries?
There have been ads that use or talk about furries. Can you help list them? Not just anthro animals, or Tony the Tiger type mascots though! I think the Orangina ads in France definitely count.
I'm looking for a certain ad that talked about a furry convention - I think it was for orange juice (tropicana?) not orangina - and I'm pretty sure it was on a train for Furry Weekend Atlanta.
I have also seen one from Mini Cooper, and there was just recently a mattress ad on the subway in NYC.
