I've planned to go to my first con (CaliFur) this summer, but I just would like some advise. Considering I don't have anyone to room with, would it be better to book my stay at the hotel hosting the convention or find a cheaper hotel just a little bit out of the way?

Lemonbrat describe themselves as a collection of artists who hand-make a variety of customizable anthropomorphic and rave-themed clothing. I've gotten so comfortable with the people here and it being a decently sized, welcoming community, I made the terribad mistake of posting in a much larger sub. (league of legends fans, you all probably saw it if you were there today)

So I've been a furry for about 2 weeks now and I've come to the conclusion that this is in all honestly the best, most open, and most accepting community that I've ever had the honor to be a part of. From the online community to stories I've heard of con what other group can say that they can get a massive number of people talking about their love of a single thing, regardless of age, sex, religion, sexuality, ethnicity or country of origin. I guess that what I'm saying is that I love you guys and that I am proud to call my self a Furry.

Hello.

I think I posted a while back about meeting some furry friends. While I feel I've sort of neglected them hopefully some of them remember me! Now i'm actually looking to become more involved with the community, or rather creating things

As an artist I would love to network with other furry/anthro artists. Are fur-cons good for this?

If you are an anthro artist would you network with me? I know I don't have a large history of doing furry/anthro art, but I'd really love to befriend some anthro artists and perhaps be more involved in making such things myself.

"Furstration" - (n.) - The conflicting feelings of happiness and depression upon seeing furry art, as you realize that this wonderful world of cuddly anthropomorphized creatures will never be yours. :(

I've never been a con guy (I have a hard time wandering aimlessly with no one around that I know), but that seems to be the closest that this fantasy can be realized...

Does anyone else feel this sometimes?

hey guys, fairly long time lurker, first time poster here. So I recently bought a wolf hat (with faux fur and whatnot) from Amazon, was really excited about getting it but was pretty disappointed with it, sending it back soon, and I figured if anybody would know where I can get a good quality hat, you guys would. in terms of details, I'm looking for one with fur that looks fairly realistic, a wolf style one, one that has the attached paws (I have looked on spirit hoods but that is very expensive and also a pain to get delivered to the UK). so if you guys could let me know of any good quality ones that aren't too pricey and I can get easily in the UK id really appreciate it.
