(FYI the monthly theme is still going on over here but this needs a temporary "sticky" while we are getting lots of traffic.)

So I figured there are a whole lot of new furries subscribing this week due to everything going down* - let's get some information about Furries and how we use Reddit out on the table for everyone!

First things first! Most of this information can be found reading the side bar or top bars on this subreddit but I would like to give all of it a solid spotlight for the new furs. My second goal is to bring life to these smaller reddits - I personally love seeing many smaller communities spark up with life outside of /r/furry. My job today is to try and put these into the spotlight.

• /u/gameon123's furry multireddit. Save this to see all of the main furry related reddits at once. (Scallies do exist out there and they deserve a place just as much as anyone else.) Not only save it, but learn how to use this tool to your advantage. Compile all of your favorite furry reddits into one bookmark. (it is very easy to do!)

• Interested in reading stories or advertising your own furry related stories? everything from short stories to discussion about novels or authors can be found in /r/furrywordsmith. I for one love reading furry tales.

• Are you a artist who is looking to give out free art? If you take requests I would recommend posting to /r/furryartschool instead of /r/furry. The furry reddit has grown so large that free request threads get filled up within minutes unlike a year ago when one could sit overnight without a reply. /r/furryartschool is a great place to find furs who will truly appreciate your free art. I also recommend posting your stream link to this reddit so people can watch and learn how you draw as well. Keep in mind: this reddit's main focus is about drawing inspiration and learning more technique. If you want to actually learn to draw, look into local artists who offer lessons! I have taken a few here and there and I always have fun, it is well worth the $15.

• Want to become a fursuiter in real life? Do you want to show your suit off? Or are you a creator looking to advertise your fursuit company? All fursuit related things can be found on this reddit and unlike /r/furrry NSFW content is allowed on this smaller reddit (another advantage to going outside of the box.)

• $$$ Want to buy art? Want to sell it? All of that and any questions about the commissioning process can be found over here This is also another place that allows artists to post free art requests to a smaller audience.

I will be adding to this and editing it through the weekend. This thread is open to any discussion about this topic and new furries to post their hellos. I want everyone to keep in mind a few things, killing off smaller communities even if they are inactive will not help us if our community continues to grow at the rate it is growing. Also keep in mind that in order to merge reddits together you need to then involve the reddit admins. I don't believe they do this very often. :)

Also, what other reddit furry communities do you think deserve a spotlight? I know /r/footpaws loves seeing new paws walk into their sub.

Hey lovelies. I've been sitting on these images for a while. I've hesitated to post anything furry-ish with my actual name because of the stigma, but I feel like it'd be a terrible thing to never show these to people who might appreciate them so here I am in alias mode. Cool stuff? I may be up for getting into some commissions soon if there's interest. I'm broke as fuck. Hah!

Hi there!

Where do I start?

About 2 months ago I broke up with my long-term boyfriend after 7 years. Despite everything, I really thought it was all okay but it's curtains for good on me and him now.

Being single after having his support for so long is terrifying and I would like nothing more than to be in a relationship again. I've spent the last two months picking myself back up and standing on my own two feet. I've broken down the imaginary house I'd built for me and my boyfriend in my head and left it bare, a clean slate to start over again with a new person... I'm still pretty shaky but my confidence is building back up slowly

I want a new relationship; the prospect is simultaneously terrifying and exciting, which tells me it's the right thing to do ... though should I wait until I'm 100% confident? Or just take the plunge?

I’m very sorry about your break up, but you seem to have a good attitude about moving ahead with your life instead of wallowing in the past. Good for you!

This is going to be a very short reply (Papabear is usually so long-winded, don’t ya know).

Dino, you can never be 100% confident. There are never any guarantees in life. While you shouldn’t just latch on to the next warm body that strolls by (the infamous “rebound relationship”), leave your heart open to love. Go out and live your life, and when someone does come along who tugs at your heart, let them reel you in.

Terrifying, exciting, cuddly, aggravating, heart-warming, life-giving. Love is all of these things and more.

You don’t need my help. You know what you want.
