Ever since joining the fandom I have noticed a trend.

Before I wanted to define myself as a furry, I talked to friend who where ones before me and asked them about it. The general concensious was that it was a fun group of creatives that aren't as bad as they are made to be in the media. The porn/sexual stuff isn't as dominate as it is assumed, and that its just a fun time.

Yet when I finally integrated myself and started making friends with other furries, some of the first questions I get are about my sexuality, and the typical conversation is about sex or something along those lines.

Now, don't get me wrong, I like sex just as much as the next guy, and I will admit that I have looked at Yiff before, but it feels like thats ALL people talk about.

Another thing that confuses me (and this may just be an issue with myself) but I get all this unusual attention from men. Now, I am an LGBT ally but predominately straight. Yet all of these men who I tell them I am straight consistantly hit on me and or just abruptly ask for ERP's. (I tell them I like to RP, but not ERP and instead of respecting that they try to change me or 'change my mind')

When I think I found someone to have normal conversation and to play games with, they are either already bad or almost like 'turned' or 'transformed' into what can only be described as a sex starved fiend. It's everywhere, and I feel trapped.

I don't regret my decision, because I like the art and concept, but I don't like how I was almost seemingly lied to.

Please someone just tell me that I just so happened to find the majority of the loud minority. Because I'm loosing hope in finding at least one furry friend who doesn't want to peg me in the butt or constantly talk about sex, straight or gay.

I'm always the first to emphasize that this is a fandom, but its starting to feel more like a fetish.

Hi everyone,

My best friend is hunting for a piece of art he saw a long time ago and is going nuts over not being able to find it. I was wondering if you guys could lend a hand. This is the exact description he sent me:

I'm looking for a brown wolf, tall and slim; he's offset to the right side, with his back to the viewer. His tail is slightly curved. He's wearing jeans and a black hoody, with sneakers that are mostly black with white accents. He's looking over his shoulder with a slight smile; the background is fairly simple, with varying shades of grey. Long, slim rectangles of lighter shades move vertically on the right side, behind the wolf.
