Hello /r/furry!
I'm TheWeakSon (I also go by Jen) and I'm a sophomore in college. I am a Visual and Media Arts major and will be producing a short documentary on the furry fandom in Boston.
I'm still in the process of contacting members of the fandom and I'd love to be more informed before we go into production. Maybe some of you can answer a few questions for me!
1) What does it mean to be a "furry"?
2) What does the furry fandom mean to you?
3) What are some misconceptions about the furry fandom that people often have?
4) What would you like people to know or understand about the furry fandom?
5) What concerns (if any) would you have about a documentary on the furry fandom? What would you like to see in a documentary about the furry fandom?
If there is anything else you'd like to tell me, please do! My producing partner and I want this documentary to be respectful and interesting and we need all the help we can get!

Rarakie by fursuit creator, did a cool little thing that by far is the best I’ve seen yet. Check out this link to learn how to draw a furry head in a few easy steps. Rarakie claims if this goes popular she will make more, so let’s get her those views so we can learn stuff by a talented artist.

A very nice person on FA offered to draw a pic of my 'sona using a pose from a photo of me. I think it turned out wonderfully.

We really can’t do better than the publisher’s notes at describing Raven Girl by Audrey Niffenegger. So here they are: “Once there was a Postman who fell in love with a Raven. New to this whole, junk
Not to the Furry fandom, that has been a part of my life for quite some time, about 6 years in fact, but lately Ive noticed, all the friends I have in this new town, are furries (about 5, maybe) and I am actually going to my first Con at FWA and I am very excited, but, what should be expected at this convention of the furry kind?

Artist 'misothefox' of FA is in need of monetary help to fund a surgery. They are offering commissions from $7-$25. Any help is better than none, so please consider helping in any way that you can.
What is a furry?
Ok, so, I'm interested in this guy who just told me he's a furry. I didn't press for more details, but I really don't know much about the whole furry world. Can someone break down some of the basics for me? Is it entirely sexual, or is it just fascination with animals and people, or what?
