I've been a furry for a couple years now, and none of my friends know that I am. Some of them are anti-furry because the only furies in our school are pretty weird. Even if they were indifferent though I still don't really know if I would tell them though because I don't really see the point. So basically what I'm asking is should I tell them I'm a furry, and deal with explaining to them that not all of us are weird, or should I just keep it to myself. Thanks

Edit: After reading everyone's comments I have decided to go with the majority, and not bother with telling them. Thanks again everyone.

I had been introduced to the furry fandom like anyone else born in the '90s--cartoons. But it wasn't until I began reading the webcomic "A Doemain of Our Own" that it really clicked what "furry" was. I had always wanted to create a webcomic, and I found myself imitating the style of the comic with my own characters--starring me anf my friends as anthro animals. I obsessed over the idea of a webcomic for almost a year, until a friend just bluntly asked me, "are you a furry?". I had not actually applied the term to myself until then, but it made sense and has ever since. Unfortunately, I do not remember the exact day, but I know it was in the srping of 2009.

At first, my parents were okay with my art, but then my dad just out of the blue said there was something we didn't like about it. He never elaborated, but I haven't brought it up with him since. My friends accept it as a part of my randomness, and my boyfriend is pro-neutral. He likes the fursona I've made for him and would wear a fursuit with me (if we had the monies lol), and thinks the squeaks I do are adorable.

Nowadays, I feel more feral than anthro as I have played the game "FeralHeart" quite a bit.

So, here it is guys! My assignment to you is this: Tell about yourself on the following subjects:

1) How you were introduced to the fandom

2) The moment you realized you are a furry

3) How your friends/family responded

I'm 26, and I've been living in LA for about 3 years now. I decided to try my luck with a reddit post after much awkwardness from meetups. I'm looking for stable, down-to-earth types to hang out with; the kind that don't wear tails in public. I don't disapprove of suits, costumes, or purring aloud, but I do believe in social norms when casually hanging out in public. Is there anyone else out there who feels the same way?

It's been a long time since we've heard anything about the on-hold title, Beyond Good & Evil 2. Last we heard, the game was being put on hiatus until the next generation of consoles was going to be released.

 

A few screenshots of what looks to be Beyond Good & Evil 2 have been published by All Games Beta. No confirmation on if these are the real thing, but they sure look convincing!
