Alright, i'm useless. I live in england and i've been trying to find, websites, IRL stores and retailers for faux fur for construction of a fursuit but i'm terrible at this. My last venture out was around norwich and realizing that norfolk pretty much sucks. Any help?

What's up, r/furry? I registered the irc channel a while ago when I noticed it was dead, opless, and corbinfox or whoever owned it last had thoroughly fucked off.

Anyway, it's come to my realization that we have lots of under 18s in the fandom, and they'll be wanting to chat with us too. I'm not really sure how to handle the posting of porn vs. having minors around.

So..basically. What rules should we have? Should we have any other than "don't be a dick"?

It seems amazing, but the fact is that this year Babar the Elephant is celebrating his 80th birthday. Yes, the paternal pachyderm first appeared in Histoire de Babar (The Story of Babar) by writer and illustrator Jean de Brunhoff in 1931. Since then there have been numerous books and more than one TV series — perhaps the most famous having been animated by Nelvana back in the 1980′s and 90′s. Now, to celebrate this new milestone, Nelvana has hooked up with The Clifford Ross Company to create numerous celebrations of the royal elephant in the famous green suit. Frankly, there’s too many to even describe here, so we’ll simply direct  you over to Cartoon Brew’s handy News Feed, where you’ll find a detailed listing of it all.

Who from r/furry is there?

This week’s episode is a little over half an hour long, roughly half the normal length, for a couple of reasons. First, with only two e-mails, we managed to get through them fairly quickly…offering useful advice on immigration to one listener, and hearing the feelings expressed in an on-topic e-mail on another. Secondly, Kyo is going through a hard time and was unable to join us (send him your best wishes!), but we managed to coerce Smokescale to join us as our third! That’s right, you’ll get to hear him speak more than a sentence at a time for the first time this week!

Our next episode is all about the woooooorld of tomorroooooow! That’s right, we want to hear about your future! What you want to go, where you want to go, what goals you want to reach, or simply which child star you think will be the next to go on a drug-addled rampage. Let us know what kind of future you predict, and what you plan to do in order to make it happen!

One more reminder: We won’t be recording next week (10/20), as the entire cast will be at Oklacon having an awesome time. We’ll be recording the week after, however, and every subsequent week in the near future!

P.S.: I think I’ve figured out why the iTunes feed wasn’t working. Somebody let me know if it’s fixed this week!

I need some advice. I really don't know about furries, so please excuse me if I don't have all of my facts straight.

So my son came to me today, crying, telling me he needed to talk about sex. He told me he recently found out that he was a furry, but that he also became interested in bdsm, especially rape porn. He started having fantasies about rape and considering how he could actually do it. He told me that the furry thing happened first, then he started getting into the rape porn through people he met in furry communities.

I just wanted to know what I should tell him, beyond just trying to comfort him. I've tried to keep an honest relationship with my son and I'm glad that he came to me before he acted on any of his impulses, but I was honestly so shocked that I didn't know what to say.

I'd also like to know how rape plays into being "furry", because from what I've been told, it seems like a large part of it.

tl;dr, my son told me that he's having sexual fantasies about rape, and that he got into it through the furry community

Brian Dyer, known in furry fandom as Athus Nadorian, was reportedly killed in a car accident.

Athus was an artist, and co-owner and lead designer for Bad Dragon, a company which specializes in toys of a sexual nature.

Athus died on October 11. The vehicle he was a passenger in was believed to have failed to yield to oncoming traffic when making a turn, resulting in a collision with another car. In response to his death, Athus’s mate, Narse, and his friends have set up a memorial website.
