I wouldn't link to something this lame, except that the overwhelmingly negative response in the comments suggests that the whole furry bashing thing is pretty much old and played out (yes, we know that, but more and more people now know it too):

Polar Bears Pushing Beer
Empresas Polar is a well-known brewer of cerveza (beer) in Venezuela. Recently they decided to create a campaign bringing their company logo, a polar bear, to life. Enter The Character Shop, an outfit famous for their creation of animatronic characters for use in advertising — a great many of which are anthropomorphic animals. They helped Empresas Polar create the character of Pedroso the Polar Bear for their new line of TV commercials. And the people of Venezuela seem to be taking to them — and Pedroso, the 7-foot tall bear himself — quite well. The Character Shop has a page dedicated to their creation of Pedroso, and of course you can see some of his actual commercials on YouTube.
Alan T. Panda withdraws guilty pleas

Alan Berlin, better known in the furry fandom as Alan T. Panda, has withdrawn his guilty pleas in relation to charges that he sexually propositioned a 15-year-old boy online.
Berlin came to the attention of the media in May 2009, when he was first arrested for unlawful contact with a minor. According to investigators, Berlin, a resident of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, had been in communication with the teen for several weeks and had proposed travelling to the boy’s home to have sex in the backyard, and in a shed on his parents’ property.
In the furry fandom, Berlin was a fursuiter, babyfur, and “daddyfur/caretaker with a cub side”. The media noted Berlin’s connection to the fandom, as investigators believed that he and the boy had met on a furry internet site. When Berlin’s home was searched, wolf and cat-like costumes were found, and it was alleged that Berlin had discussed dressing up in animal costumes as part of having sex with the boy.

International Furry Survey Closes
We were contacted by Courtney “Nuka” Plante this morning about the status of the survey.
“We’re pleased to report that the response has far exceeded our
expectations! We had been hoping for a response of between 250-1,000
furries, and ended up getting nearly 7,000 responses! As such, we are
taking the survey down so that we can begin analysis of the data (far
earlier than expected!).
I was just contacting you to ask if you could take down the survey link
and/ or mention to folks that the survey is now closed, and if you could
thank them on our behalf for their enthusiasm and support for our
research! When the data analysis is complete we’ll be sure to get in
contact with you and let you and the community know how to look at the
results from the survey and to keep up with how the data are being used in
scientific research! And, of course, we’ll hopefully have another survey
up in the future, given how incredibly successful this one has been!”

Australia’s newest furry convention, FurDU (Furry Down Under), has announced reaching capacity for 2011.
FurDU organizer FlameDrake revealed that the 100-person cap on attendance was insisted upon by the Vibe Hotel, the same venue FurDU was hosted at when it launched in April 2010.
Oz Kangaroo confirmed that staff are in discussion with several larger hotels on the Gold Coast, in the hope of lifting this cap in future years.

If you have ever woken up feeling like an African Wild dog after a night out on the town, you are not alone. Meg Morris, a local furry of Knoxville, Tenn., feels that way all the time.
Furries can be found anywhere around the world, or in Meg’s case, right here in Knoxville. You just have to know where to look.
Predominantly found in the north, these people and their culture are one of the south’s best kept secrets.
