Little Penguins Being Abducted and Turned into Pets

furryne.ws - Tue 22 Mar 2011 - 21:59
"Little Penguins are the smallest species of their kind, but that undeniable cuteness has been a detriment to their very existence lately. On Granite Island in Southern Australia, thieves have been abducting the Little Penguins from their protected reserves under cover of night, presumably to make them into house-pets. Over the last decade, the penguin population has dropped from over 1,500 to a less than 150 counted in the last bird census. Clearly, something has to be done to save the Little Penguins."

AIDES Smutley

furryne.ws - Tue 22 Mar 2011 - 14:04
"CHALLENGE To de-dramatize the somewhat embarrassing, if not plain awkward, moment when "rubber protection" needs to be discussed. SOLUTION Smutley. He does not discriminate. Smutley will have unprotected sex with anything on two legs, four hooves or a couple of flippers if the situation arises. But he's only able to do this because he's a cat with nine lives. The rest of us need to protect ourselves with condoms." h-CobellfLs

The Fat Cat is Back

In-Fur-Nation - Tue 22 Mar 2011 - 01:57

Well this sort of came out of nowhere… A brand new CGI show featuring Jim Davis’ inescapable cat Garfield was made in France in 2008. Then, in 2009, episodes of The Garfield Show began airing in North America on Cartoon Network, with all-around voice actor Frank Welker voicing Garfield in place of the late Lorenzo Music. One of the main writers and voice directors for the series is Mark Evanier, who was also lead writer for the original 2D series Garfield and Friends in the 1980′s. Now it seems that Papercutz (home of the Geronimo Stilton series) is creating a series of hardcover full-color comic collections based on The Garfield Show. The collections are titled Garfield & Co., and they come to stores this May.

Ian and Hunter Youbook

Furry News Network - Tue 22 Mar 2011 - 01:30

03/18/2011
By: TheIronweasle

Ian and HunterOn August 27th 2010, shortly after my joining of the Fandom, I started something new, a book on youtube. I was the first to ever do this, interestingly enough. But I digress.

I started writing Ian and Hunter. The story surrounds the young man Ian Hunter, who has awoken in a medievil village populated by a strange(or not, to those reading this) Race of animal people. However Ian can’t remember anything before waking up. As he adapts to life in the village, and attmpts to revcover his memory he learns that war is brewing, and he might be part of a deep political struggle.

Now as I’m sure many of you see, this sounds very similar to Twokinds. This is because I was reading it at the time I started. However, it is only the basic background that is similar, and the story becomes much different and darker as it progress.

So check it out at youtube.com/TheIronweasle please give your comments and criticisms. However please note that this is a first draft in which I plan to edit afterwards, and I use extremly bad editing tools, so know I am very aware of misspells.

EDITORS NOTE: This is a user submitted article and is seen as self promotion and not news, however, the concept of a “Youbook” is interesting. With the move to either e-books or audio books, this is a very different approach. Please take a look and give your opinion. Good luck with your project.
