Fursuiting
OK I've been ticking it over for a while now (just over a year) and I was wondering what goes into a fursuit, as in: finding a good fursuit maker, matierals, how to keep it in a good condition, where to ware it, what happens when people approach you and how much it can actually change.
I know that you have to keep someone with you to guide you and make sure you don't roast but other than that I'm clueless.

Has anyone had another person mistake the fandom for a religion.
I tried to explain that Fursuits were special outfits worn for very special occasions to show how we are as part of the fandom. Now my dad thinks my fursuit is sacred religious garments and is afraid to go near it to avoid angering my god. Anyone else have a similar experience?
