What got you into the Furry Fandom?
I'm just curious, I think for me it was a lot of Disney and a series of books called Warriors and the forum boards dedicated to said book series, where I also started getting seriously into art.(RIP Warrior Cat Forums I will miss you)

/r/teenfur Revival.
I'm the admin of /r/teenfur and I just wanted to poke in to mention that I'm going to make an attempt to revive it. I've never made a subreddit before this one, but I want to see the true potential in this subreddit fulfilled. Much support and suggestions is appreciated.

Z's Furry Showerthoughts, continued: Osteology and forensic anthropology in a furry world
As a student of archaeology, I study lots of bones. It's very fun (instead of just looking at people and trying to figure out what they look like naked, you start thinking about how they'd look without and soft tissues) and very demanding. One single bone, whether it's a mandible, clavicle, vomer (it's in yo nose!) or a phalange (finger or toe bone) has multiple regions and parts. Foramina, fossas, tubercles, processes, tuberosities, grooves. They change throughout a person's life and vary between sexes, and the non-sexually-dimorphic features can vary from person to person too. A feature that's really obvious on Person A's temporal bone might be barely there on Person B's. But at least we're all one species, it's reasonably simple to pick out non-human bones if you've been trained to do it, and traits tied to ancestry are fairly minor.
But oh god, what if we were a global community of beings with wildly varying morphologies (aka, furries)? How long would it take to ID remains if you had to work out species, feral or anthro, etc. before you could even begin to figure out details like sex and age? The teeth of a feral wolf and a bipedal dog would look quite similar. The skulls of many birds would show little sexual dimorphism. Snakes are indeterminate growers.
Would anything ever get solved? Discuss.

How to find out if a friend is furry?
I don't consider myself a furry, but I do enjoy yiff. I just think it's very kinky. I have never told any of my friends about this, for obvious reasons probably everybody in this sub struggles with. But I have one or two friends that I suspect are furry and/or enjoy anthro art. I would love to find out if they actually are furry via conversation. I have no idea how to bring up the subject, because I might get some unexpected reactions. I guess my question is, how do I carefully steer the conversation towards the subject of furry, to find out whether my friend is furry or not? Thanks for any and all help.
By the way, this is a throwaway/account dedicated to future posts about these subjects.

Furry and College Discussion!
I love the fall season so much, mainly because of all the trees, and how they compliment the colors of the student union building, and all sorts of other nostalgic ramblings!
Unfortunately due to life things I had to transfer to an urban campus, where the overcast fall days only blend into the concrete jungle :< Regardless of the surroundings, one ever present factor in college I've found is that you can always find furries, either hidden in plain sight or actually running to club meetings in their fursuits! (True story lol)
I guess it's also worthy to note how a reasonable portion of the fandom is college age, adding a little more context to this phenomenon.
What do you all think? How active (or existent) is your school's fur community? Got any fun stories about it?

To that one guy on the bus today
I'm sorry that I'm too much of a coward to say anything directly, but I'm glad that I made your day, regardless of how insignificant the act, in my passive pushing of the furry agenda with my attire.
to everyone else, have a nice day too.

To the random person who wore a fursuit on campus today thank you.
Here i was on a short 5 minute break in the middle of a boring class when out of no where i see someone in a partial walking through the campus. Im still kicking myself for not having the time to run up to them, and say hello. even walked around half the campus after my class ended to see if they were still around. Even though i never got to say hello, who ever you are just seeing you today made me so happy. Keep being awesome anonymous
