Okay I i love this fandom since it seems to see things like i do befind my vary loud and argumentative shell I hide in at school you don't se stupid you see someone who has yet to learn you don't see disabled you see a survivor you don't see skin you s deeds and character and for this I well say that this fandom is like the way I wish the world was ... Kay am getting teary so am done typing.

Apart from making us look stupid for trying to convince people who hate us that they are one of us, there is a huge hole in this theory:

To call yourself a furry is not simply to like anthros. I like Avatar: Legend of Aang yet that doesn't mean I talk to other people who do or go on Avatar related websites/boards, in the same way I do as a furry. There is a difference between being in a fandom and liking something.

So please stop bringing up this irrelevant argument. And besides, if you're telling someone this, you are probably being baited. Just sayin'

Are there any updates on the chlorine incident. Is everybody ok, has there been any responses by staff for next year (official statements, increased security, venue change), anyone in custody. After the initial media response I haven't been able to find much.

So, title says it all. I'm doing a bit of research, both for personal interests(I'm thinking I might write on it for school), and for furry interests. I'm still in the process of designing a character, and I've decided that she is going to be a Wiccan. I think it kinda fits her well. she's extremely gentle, caring, shy, and a little scared of everything. Her name is Rebecca, and she's a red-bellied woodpecker. So, here's my questions.

1. How did you get into it, and how long have you stuck with it?

2. Are you alone, or part of a coven?

3. How many people know that you are Wiccan?

4. Is there anything that sets you apart from others?

5. Do you have any certain rituals or prayers you would mind sharing?

Next two don't really need to be answered.

1. Would it be permissible for an athame to made of Obsidian?

2. Do you like this song? I have music for each of my characters and I like this one for Becca.

With the fandom's bad public image now , i dont think this fandom can last to the next generation , could this be the end? I personally dont want this to be reality but i would at least like to prepare for the truth.

And I am proud.

I openly say it, to people I know, people I have just met, and, honestly, apart from the general "Thats a bit weird" that i'm pretty sure I would do if someone told me they were into differently shaped pineapples (As an example of something not usually seen in society), everyone has been pretty accepting.

I don't know if its because the people around me are very open to new ideas, or because i attract a lot of different people (Sexually, culturally and physically diverse), but Its been accepted that I am a furry.

I know that a lot of us out there aren't as lucky as me and don't have people who are as understanding as my friends, but know that there are more and more people who DO accept you, and who don't care if you like wolves, foxes and/or any other furry/scaly/feathery thing out there.

I love this community and I will defend it til my dying breath, cause you are all awesome <3

So, I went to a furmeet for the first time today, and it wasn't as nice as I expected :( there were loads of really creepy looking 27-40 year old guys there, they had no respect for my personal space, or any respect of the fact I'm straight, they invaded my personal space and the vibe there was pretty tense the entire time. I like plushies, drawing my character and even occasionally the porn, but seriously, I felt extremely uncomfortable. I was grabbed and poked and hugged without my consent, and I feel bad right now, because the furry fandom pretty much was a life saver for me when I was 16 (I'm 20 now) and the first time I get to go to a meet, people begin creeping on me :( is this normal for the furry fandom at all? It was like I was confronted with THE furry stereotype. It didn't feel right, at all. I didn't expect this sort of thing to happen.

Am I overreacting? What should I do?
