So here's the situation: So I told my boyfriend last night that I am a furry and he didn't take it well at all. I was really nervous while telling him and it took me a long time to work up the courage to tell him. I told him that I wanted to talk to him about something and he was ready to hear what I said, but what should have taken me only a few moments to say took me around 45 minutes. He was really mad after I told him because I had clammed up and gotten nervous and wasted a lot of time. Today, I got some texts from him asking when I became a fur. I told him the date I became a furry and then he proceeded to tell me about all of the bad things people think about furries. He said, "You realize the stuff that furries do right? You're prescribing to a culture that likes to wear fursuits and engage in a bunch of different fetishes." I told him that being a furry was a hobby, something I enjoyed and asked him if he hated me for being a furry. He then said that "[he didn't] like the fandom" and he said furries and fursuiters "were crazy." After this, he said that he needed some space from me.... he said that it wasn't about me being a furry, but I'm not too sure... I feel like it is about me being a furry... I don't know what to do.... I really need some help. I know I shouldn't have hesitated so much when I told him that I was a furry, but I really wish he would be a bit more understanding and accepting about me being a furry.

TLDR: I told my boyfriend that I was a furry and he told me that he doesn't like the fandom and now won't talk to me.

Hey, everyone. Some of you may know me by some of my original art posts on here and on Fur Affinity, and I greatly appreciate the positive feedback that some of you have shared. Yesterday, I encountered my first dose of art theft, and it was pretty heartbreaking to say the least. In a way, it could be seen as good because the person liked my art enough to use it. But going as far as to edit out my signature to use the art as their own was pretty infuriating and saddening to see it for the first time. I just wanted to know if there are any tips to deter and prevent this sort of thing from happening in the future. Thank you for any suggestions!

In the last couple of days, usually after having conversations with my furry friends, I question my sexuality a lot, and honestly it really really worries me. Mostly because I want to be secure in my sexuality right now, being straight, and secondly because I'm an extremely religious person and it'd be against my personal beliefs. I never even thought anything of this until I joined the fandom, especially getting good friends within the fandom. Also I really like one of my friends, and I think he hits on me...? And I don't know how I feel towards him.

I really don't know what to do, but I don't want to change for strongly religious reasons.

Help...?

Bad Dog Bar & Grill is closing its doors permanently on January 1st.

The economy had an impact on regulars and the riots scaring everyone else away. The owners floated the place as long as they could out of their own pockets and can no longer do so.

Bad Dog gave me a job when I really needed one and it also welcomed everyone with open arms.

In fact, I was in fursuit one night with Amarok and someone was heckling us. The bartender and bar owner both asked him to leave, telling the guy that this was our home. This really resonated with me as a safe place that we could be ourselves no matter who we were.

We hosted many furry meets here, from eating the tastiest food in Saint Louis to Karaoke to playing Cards Against Humanity and ultimately making new friends in the process.

The bar will be missed greatly and I still can't believe this news even as I type it.

We are having a farewell meet and greet on Saturday, December 27th from 6pm to Midnight. Some of us may be going to their New Years Eve fetish ball on their final night as well.

Hello, everyone! Anthocon is getting closer and closer by the day! Many think that they won't be able to make it for several reasons. Money cost, transport/gas, hotel cost, nobody to go with... Well how about this?! I'm setting up a large group from Missouri and Illinois to travel together, split gas, and split the cost of hotel rooms. I'll be planning this until 4 weeks before, at which point we will all get together to finish prep and make sure everything is in order. A friend of mine lost his son last year at a very young age and he was going to paint the son's room with foxes so now foxes and the color orange has a lot of meaning to him. I need your help to get together a bunch of fox art so I can give it to him from all of us. (Hope this goes without saying but don't comment anything nsfw)
