I make fursuits for a living. It's how I put food on my table and it's how I pay my bills. Some months are better than others, I can tell you that much.

Don't be that person that asks for a quote but then has absolutely no money, and don't be that person that never responds to the answering email.

We post base prices for a reason. It's to keep those people from wasting our time. It's to keep our bellies full and our bills paid. Base prices are what you can be expecting to pay on a suit. Sure, it may be a little more or a little less but at least have the down payment saved up before contacting us.

Quotes actually take a lot of time to answer. A lot of shopping for just the right materials, careful calculating and checking said calculations go into answering them. I spend about three hours a day, sometimes more, just answering quotes.

That's three hours (out of my eight hour work days) being spent on quotes and most of those don't even come back to me.

It happens to makers everywhere. It's (frankly) a pain in the ass.

Please take the maker into consideration and don't be that person.
