JUN062819E Wonderland #2 32pg, color $3.50
by Tommy Kovac & Sonny Liew
Somehow I missed the first in the series back in March (MAR062914E) but I've back-ordered it. This is licensed Diz-knee, purporting to be what happened in Wonderland after Alice left: the movie Wonderland, not the book. So it's crap, right? Apparently not, judging from reviews.
Tommy Kovac is the author/artist of *Stitch*, *Skelebunnies*, and *Autumn*, the latter two of which are also on-topic because of the skelebunnies and Autumn's squirrel familiar Widdershin. See http://www.tommykovac.com/comics.htm for samples of *Wonderland* and all the rest. Apparently Kovac managed to do an excellent all-ages comic, even if he surely can't display the edginess of his earlier comics. My only regret is that it's delayed the arrival of *Autumn* #5.
As for this issue? 'Deep in the Tulgey Wood, the White Rabbit and his housemaid, Mary Ann, are renegades from the wrath of the Queen of Hearts. To complicate matters, the Cheshire Cat lures them into a dreadful predicament with the burbling, fiery-eyed Jabberwock.' Well, maybe.
