Thanks again to Treesong for taking over last month. Here I am, back
and bouncy. And there's a nice list of items in this month's catalog.

pg 38
Chickenhare: House of Klaus TPB $9.95
A strange book by Chris Grine about a half bird/half lagomorph who,
along with his friend Abe the turtle, has to keep from becoming the
latest achievement of a deranged taxidermist.

pg 39
Usagi Yojimbo #96 - $2.99
Poor Jodo digs holes all over town, looking for his dead gangster

action-packed issue.

pg 97

Porky takes Sylvester for a dental checkup, and gets a dentist who
thinks you cure a toothache by removing the brain. Blue Cross will hear
of this.

Dog and stoner fight ghosts. Film at 11.

pg 114
Pride of Baghdad HC - $19.99
This book by Brian K. Vaughn & Niko Henrrichon goes back over an
incident from the Iraq invasion of 2003. When Baghdad was bombed, a
pride of four lions in the city zoo escaped and roamed the streets in a
struggle for their lives. This book talks of their plight and asks
questions about the true meaning of liberation.

Beasts HC - $28.95
A hardback collection of art and work revolving around the many beasts

In my monthly struggle against the darkness of furry ignorance, I wended my way through some of the obscurest quarters of furry comicdom, emerging with this information, posted Mon, 19 Jun 2006 01:32:29 GMT:

PAGE 151
JUN061708D2 Elephantmen #2 32pg, color $2.99
story by Richard Starkings, art by Flint Henry & Moritat
Two stories: "Behemoth and Leviathan" (Hip Flask takes on the Croc Elijah Delaney above and below the waters of the Los Angeles canal) and "Shock Croc" (Elijah Delaney stops by Dogstar Radio to deliver an exclusive interview).

PAGE 218
JUN062819E Wonderland #2 32pg, color $3.50
by Tommy Kovac & Sonny Liew
Somehow I missed the first in the series back in March (MAR062914E) but I've back-ordered it. This is licensed Diz-knee, purporting to be what happened in Wonderland after Alice left: the movie Wonderland, not the book. So it's crap, right? Apparently not, judging from reviews.
Tommy Kovac is the author/artist of *Stitch*, *Skelebunnies*, and *Autumn*, the latter two of which are also on-topic because of the skelebunnies and Autumn's squirrel familiar Widdershin. See for samples of *Wonderland* and all the rest. Apparently Kovac managed to do an excellent all-ages comic, even if he surely can't display the edginess of his earlier comics. My only regret is that it's delayed the arrival of *Autumn* #5.
As for this issue? 'Deep in the Tulgey Wood, the White Rabbit and his housemaid, Mary Ann, are renegades from the wrath of the Queen of Hearts. To complicate matters, the Cheshire Cat lures them into a dreadful predicament with the burbling, fiery-eyed Jabberwock.' Well, maybe.

PAGE 237
JUN062885E Sonic the Hedgehog #166 32pg, color $2.25
by various
"Mobius: 25 Years Later Part 1": 'Mobius is ruled with an iron fist by King Shadow and his chief enforcer, Knuckles.' Ah, for the good old Robotnik days.

PAGE 282
JUN063083F Thunder Monkey #3 24pg, b&w $0.99
by Lee Oaks
The origin of Thunder Monkey on July 7th, 1977. I don't seem to have ever caught #1 or #2, but it's got a supermonkey in it so I guess it qualifies.

PAGE 285
JUN063109F Interiorae #2 8"x11", 32pg, b&w $7.95
by Gabriella Giandelli
The ghostly rabbit continues to observe the people in the apartment complex.
