Sorry to be late with this--when I did it for Usenet and tried to put it in here, Flayrah was down. Then I forgot it for a few days.

Any month with a Girl Genius collection is a good one (yay, Krosp!) but there are lots of other goodies, too. As witness:

MAY073629F Dungeon Parade vol. 2: Day of the Toads sc, 6"x9", 64pg, color $9.95
by Sfar, Trondheim, & Larcenet
This humor/horror furry series is a big thing in France, and two more albums are collected in this volume. After doing some stories of a dungeon run as a paying proposition to suck in adventurers, the creators branched out into stories of its past, its gloomy future, and (as here) humorous stories happening between the first and second volumes of Zenith: an attack by a swarm of flying venomous toads and Herbert the not-so-heroic duck going on a mission to clear out the septic tank. Also, five 96-page volumes, comprising (I believe) fifteen of the French albums, are offered again so you can catch up. Recommended.

NEW RELIABLE PRESS (http://www.newreliable.com/)
MAY073656F Beaver and Steve vol. 1: A Shoeful of Trouble sc, 6"x9", 112pg, color $12.95
by James Turner
This collects the first year of strips from the website (http://www.beaverandsteve.com/) and three pages of new material. The comic won the Cartoonists Choice Award for Best Newcomer of 2005; amusing, but I am not all that impressed. Beaver, by the way, is a beaver, and Steve is a somewhat smaller dinosaur, a couple of steps up from stick figures.
