This may be the biggest monthly pile of furry I've ever reported on. Can't say much of it grabs me, though. Have a look at Goats.

DEL REY MANGA (http://www.randomhouse.com/delrey/manga/index.pperl)
MAR100895 Goats: Showcase Showdown sc, 8"x8", 160pg, color $15.00
by Jonathan Rosenberg
'Goats is one of the world's longest-running webcomics, read by 1.5-million readers each month. Goats is a sci-fi parody epic, a Hitchhiker's Guide or Futurama for the Internet age. This is humor imagined on an epic scale, with a sprawling storyline that concerns two ordinary techies who are tasked with saving the universe from utter destruction -- and the demonic chickens, cyborg goldfish, omnisexual aliens, disgruntled hackers, Mayan death gods, and random celebrities they encounter along the way. This volume completes the Infinite Pendergast Cycle and reprints strips originally published between March 2007 to April 2008.' I'm surprised that I'd never heard of this comic before, since it's been around for 12 years and is the sort of weirdness I like (as in *Chumble Spuzz* and *Dead Duck*). I discovered it a few days ago when I picked up the first volume, *Infinite Typewriters*, from the library. Now I have to go back and get the second of three, *The Corndog Imperative*.

MAR100903 Your Love Sickness [yaoi] sc, 6"x8", 200pg, b&w $12.95
(W/A) Hayate Kuku
'The Shrine Inari is protected by two divine-being foxes - Unka and Aura. Unka, a red fox, is the serious one and born into a lower social class. Aura, pure-bred white fox, is the reckless and irresponsible one. Can opposites attract? Would they play nice to each other? Unka, who is unable to express himself honestly, and Aura, who always goes all-out to get what he wants, really fall in love!?' First furry yaoi I recall seeing since (pint-sized human cats!) *Tomcats*.

DRAWN & QUARTERLY (http://www.drawnandquarterly.com)
MAR100916 Catland Empire sc, 7"x7", 184pg, color $29.95
(W/A) Keith Jones
'Catland Empire melds the sensibility of a Philip K. Dick novel with a Saturday morning cartoon. There will exist a future world where "human beings have become empty husks stripped of all memory when it comes to things like how to have fun and play games," or so says Mr. Space to his associate Mr. Time. The solution? Get the cats to teach humans how to have fun again. This is all the Cat People do with their lives. They are the fun and game masters. What follows is a tangled web of psychedelic science fiction blending anti-consumerist politics and intergalactic liaisons between cats and dogs -- bitter enemies kept secret from each other to avoid a planetary race war.' Sample pages at http://forum.superpouvoir.com/showthread.php?t=14371 leave me unimpressed.

FANTAGRAPHICS BOOKS (http://www.fantagraphicsbooks.com)
MAR100953 Interiorae #4 8"x11", 32pg, 2-color $7.95
by Gabriella Giandelli
'In the climactic final issue, a tormented Angela finally finds her way into "The Forest" and final peace. We could tell you what happens to the other denizens of the apartment building whose lives we've been following throughout this four-issue series, including struggling couple, the kids, the Creature That Lives in the Basement and Feeds on Dreams, and his envoy the White Rabbit, but wouldn't you rather find out for yourself? As always, stylishly delineated and delicately tinted in that striking Ignatz-style duotone by Gabriella Giandelli.' Back issues are offered again.

MAR100954 Niger #3 8"x11", 32pg, 2-color $7.95
by Leila Marzocchi
'Peculiar happenings in the Burnt Spruce Forest take away the spotlight from the rapidly-growing Dolly. Answering last issue's question "What are those crackling and rumblings sounds emanating from Wingman's nest?," a rock suddenly sprouts wings! A meeting is convened among the birds and the theory is advanced that fossilized egg suddenly sprung to life. Back at Cesare's nest where Dolly [the little maggot] lives, a monstrous intruder once again threatens to cut short her brief life…!' Last issue was two years ago, but both back issues are offered again.

MAR101152 Neko Ramen vol. 1 (of 3): Hey! Order Up! sc, 5"x7", 143pg, b&w $10.99
by Kenji Sonishi
'Taishou was a former kitten model, who ran away from home and had a hard life on the streets... until the day he was saved by a kind ramen shop owner who later served as his mentor. Now Taishou takes pride in his noodles... and is easily angered when customers are dissatisfied! So step aside, Soup Nazi -- there's a new cat in town!' Seems to have been quite popular in Japan.

YEN PRESS (http://yenpress.us/)
Manga include *Cat Paradise* vol. 4 ('Or should they pursue the Great Spirit cat into the realm of Futakago to save one of their own?') and *Laon* vol. 2 (Laon is a nine-tailed fox who's been a bit too mischievous in heaven' so he got de-tailed and sent to earth) but they seem borderline so I only mention them. Anyone think otherwise? There's also *One Fine Day* vol. 2; I included vol. 1 four months ago but it looks so charmingly juvey I think I'll skip it from now on.
