Furries on Youtube

the scoop on the furry group, N*F*M on YouTube.com

Many furries as of late, have reported being "Trolled" on the popular media site, youtube.com. While many furries are choosing to ignore comments left by trolls on their YT channels, as well as in video comments, and personal messages, some furries are taking a stand.

Many small groups have appeared across YouTube, all seemingly linked to one main group, the New*Furry*Military or the N*F*M. This leads to the questions, what happened to the OLD Furry Military, and why does the leader, MrDisambiguation, want to post this group all over the internet? What does he hope to gain? Perhaps he wants to be a famous fur? Or maybe he just wants to make a point.

I'll be keeping tabs on this subject until I dig up these and many other answers.

More people really need to learn the power of not taking bait from trolls. That, and they need to realize that youtube comments in general are rarely, if ever, worth the photons on your monitor.

I agree with TalonLardner, trolls want you to respond. Once you reply to them, you're a fish in a barrel.

we should be able to be who we want without trolls interfearing, perhaps they don't have anything else to do in there spare time or perhaps some of these "trolls" have a furry side to them to

No duh Overload, a fair chunk of /b/ are furries.
You want to know why we get trolled?
They do realize furry isn't as gross or perverted as we're made out to be, they do realize there are weirder stuff on the internet, they do realize very few fursuiters do it in fursuits. They know alot about the fandom.
How alot of furries say, "we shouldn't get trolled because we aren't doing anything bad and it's not hurting anyone" is what makes them mad.

Meh, I know it ended along time ago. It just ticks me off that other furries are still trying to "fight those horrible trolls that are so mean to us".

I think by this point, trolls can tell what kind of furries will react to trolling and which ones won't, and they target the ones who will react the most (or in their terms, "are most lulzworthy"). Trolling isn't new, especially on Youtube or furry sites, so it seems rather predictable that furries on Youtube are going to get targeted.

If there's one thing we all can agree on, furries, /b/ and most of the internet is this
We all hate Twilight!

How a book about the "romance" between a vanilla mary-sue and a creepy stalking pervert became a number 1 bestseller and popular movie franchise, I will never know...

It's cause there was nothing for teenagers to fantard over at the time, Harry Potter was losing popularity.

I dont think he wanted to be popular originaly but he seems more needy for attention lately. I typically do ignore trolling that is just insulting instead of trying to make a point, if the troller makes a point i'll argue.

In my experience, to tolerate and suffer such trolling unanswered is usually just more bait for other trolls to jump in. Hate to say this, but its just like the ocassional anti-furs at the cons. You ignore em and they usually dont get the point. Rap em on the beat with a nice smash to the jaw, and they get the point. Thomas Jefferson once said..."sufferance and tolerance are the last virtues of a dieing society". Usually the cowards are made strong by the weak trying to ignore them. The meek and passive never got anything other than what the strong fought for and handed to them. History is all too full of one example after another of that. Suffer no one unanswered. It never pays nor is it fruitful.

Though very truthful and poignant, LakotaWolf, I think the internet is a rather different place in a rather different time than when Jefferson made such statements. Trolling isn't akin to traditional oppression - more to the anarchy of bullies in a school playground. They're in it for a cheap laugh at someone else's expense, regardless of who that person may be or what "group" they might belong to. The internet however provides the anonymity for attackers to be ruthless and vicious without physical threat of retribution.

trolls do seem to gang up if you ignore them, but it's worse if you don't ignore them. either way, you will be trolled, and blocking or reporting does no good, as they just make new accounts. i try to reason with them in a non-ragey type of way, but i generally get left alone.

Pretty much the only thing furries can do is to ignore them, there is another way that stops people from trolling but you have to know how to play ball with them.
Basically the other way besides ignoring them is use logic against them and never ever get mad or frustrated at them, eventually they'll either go "lol I troll u" at which point means they lost and I'd hate to sound mean but make fun of them or you'll lose because that's the final move of desperation for them, or they'll give up trolling all together.

Furries always complain about getting Trolled, and yet by making an account completely decked out in pictures of animals and furries, they're basically painting a big red Bulls-eye on their forehead. There are as many Trolls on YouTube as there are on 4Chan, I've ever heard from some that YouTube IS the new 4Chan. I don't know why furries just get the hint that "YouTube is full of Trolls" and get their own Video website (Or do we have one? None that I've heard of, or at least a popular one). Having a Furry War on YouTube is just as bad as having one on 4Chan. There can never be a winner, the only thing that will happen is someone must give up, and Trolls won't do that if it takes 100 years, because quite frankly they think the whole thing is funny. I really suggest we make/pick a Furry Video Website and call it our main one, or at least get the hint and stop making your channels so noticeable.

Making a furry version of youtube would be a really great idea.

Your rating: None Average: 5 (3 votes)

I second that. A furry based youtube would be pretty cool, but kinda limiting because we'd be confining ourselves. Networking within the fandom is easier when we're all out in the open.

But it's still a good idea because it would specifically be a place for furry stuff.

i think a "furtube" if i may, is a great idea, as youtube has so many problems with furries as a general rule anyway. yiff videos get removed almost as soon as they get posted, trolls are a huge problem, obviously, and thanks to CSI, Bones, ER, and Law and order (probly others too.) the fandom is seriously frowned upon by the general public.

Somebody should tell this idea to a furry that could pull this off.

Your rating: None Average: 5 (3 votes)

There must be at least one Furry that can do this, there might be Furries in high places, we just need to find them.

Your rating: None Average: 5 (2 votes)

Well I found some, most of them are gay and bi,

Furtube! Yes! It is a grand plan! One of my clan friends who knows a little bit about engineering has recently started working on orctube. Until now all attemps have ended up with a single goblin death, but we are making progress, it will be done, for the great warchief!
