Balls

SoFurry is running an adult short story contest. The topic is endangered animals — specifically, tigers, rhinos and giant pandas.

Entries must prominently feature at least one of the selected species in a sexual situation, and preferably all three.

One story of roughly 2500 to 10,000 words may be entered per person; it must be submitted to the site with the keyword EnSpContest by March 20. The winner will receive a box of Austrian "Mirabell Mozardkugel" (chocolate and marzipan balls) from site admin Toumal.

The site previously ran a Valentine's Day competition, accepting tame and adult artwork in black, white, and red. The winning work was by Cyran.

The site uses a form of the PageRank algorithm, which forms the basis for Google's rankings. Watched users gain points which are distributed among their own watchlist.

Not everyone thinks it's a good idea, with an old straw poll showing 42% in favour of closing the site. However, FA admin Dragoneer appears unconcerned.

For those wishing to know full details, source code for the ranking system is available.

Yes, this is old news, but it was never covered here and the rankings were updated recently.

A lot of you have complained that our prices were high. So, we reconsidered the budget, and we’ve managed to lower our prices considerably.

Editor's note: It previously cost 2600 DKK (~US$480) for attendees, 3000 DKK for sponsors, and 900 DKK for an early arrival or late departure, making this a 35% cut in base registration. Forum posts suggest the reduction was achieved by cutting food.

Brazilian TV show Fantástico covers local furs, LondonFurs

Your rating: None Average: 5 (4 votes)

Some shoppers and their kids get more than they bargained for, meeting up with Brazilian furs followed by a TV crew (translation). The show also covers members of the LondonFurs.

The piece was discussed (translation) on Portuguese-language news portal Fauna Urbana; apparently much more footage was taken. Although pleased with the general tone, local furs were disappointed in the focus on fursuiting.

Brazil is home to furry camping convention Abando, held near São Paulo since 2008.
