I find it amusing that people comment they don't care. If they really didn't care, they wouldn't bother to post that they don't care. Trolls trying to upset those who work for the GFAs.

That's okay, though. The awards are for the people who do care, and there are a lot of those, judging by the votes and nominations we get. Also, the happiness that is spread by those who are acknowledged with awards and certificates. I get a lot of joy out of running these awards, too, because I get to learn about all the really pawsome furries out there doing wonderful things to help their communities. There are a lot of special furries out there who deserve to be thanked.

Thanks to all the Good Furries!!! You make the world a happier place.

    See you next year!

Good GRIEF, do these nobody trolls come out of the woodwork to follow Grubbs around? Sorry about this, Papabear. You deserve better.

There seems to be a couple of them that hang around Flayrah and hate on anyone that accomplishes anything. It's best to just ignore them and move on. Too many bitter people in the world to waste time on.

"If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind."

Really, if you wanted to hate on anybody here, there's one ginormous elephant in the room. I think I get why people really hate the site now. But... Maybe some other time. Let's just say a 5 minute Google search and another 15 min of reading didn't make me want to become one of these guys, but reputationally, there's just no hope for this site becoming a viable furry news site the fandom will ever accept. I didn't realize how bad things were.

Born in 1965, I've been a furry since I was a little kid pretending to be a wolf from The Jungle Book (the book, not the film) or Chip from Chip and Dale. I discovered furries in the late 1980s when I stumbled on FurNation, but I didn't really start to get active until the 21st century, and, when I discovered my bear nature, started to get REALLY active, founding the BearFurries group on Yahoo, getting a fursuit from Beastcub in 2011, and writing the Ask Papabear column. In 2022, I started www.unclebearpublishing.com, a publishing house specializing in nonfiction for furries.
