Announcing Mephit FurMeet 2002!
MFM 2002 will be held August 30th – September 2nd, 2002 in Memphis Tennessee, at the Holiday Inn Select Memphis Airport.
Guest of Honor
This year, our guest of honor is furry artist Ryngs Raccoon. Check out his stuff at www.themarchhare.org
http://mephitfurmeet.org (basic website and online registration via PayPal are up!)
Once again, we will be holding a contest to find out whose art will grace the front of the Mephit FurMeet T-Shirts! If you’d like to pick up the pencil and contribute, here’s what you need to know.
T-Shirt art should include the text "Mephit FurMeet" or "MFM," as well as either “6” or “2002”.
Entries must be in black and white (grayscale will not be accepted). The content must not exceed a PG rating and be skunk themed. All entries can be submitted to Tyger Cowboy (please include a title for each entry). Email entries should be 800x600 in size at 300dpi.
T-Shirt contest entries can be emailed to email@example.com
Should you not have the means to email your entry, you can snail mail it to us at our PO Box. The Contest winner will be determined by popular vote of those on the FurMeet mailing list.
The outcome of the vote is final. There will be no recounts, no chads – dimpled, hanging, pregnant or otherwise.
The deadline for submitting entries to the t-shirt contest will be July 24, 2002, with voting to commence shortly thereafter.
And now, for the beautiful legalese:
By submitting an entry to the Mephit FurMeet T-Shirt contest, you are granting Mephit FurMeet and the Mid South and Tennessee Anthropomorphic Arts Association (MST3A) an irrevocable, non-exclusive license to use the entry for promotional purposes. The original creators of the work are permitted to use the work in their own portfolios and promotions.
Our charity this year will once again be the Tiger Haven Sanctuary of Roane County, TN. You can check out Tiger Haven on the web at http://www.tigerhaven.org

Furry Puppet Track
Organizer: BJ Buttons
One of the hottest fads to hit Furry Fandom in a long time. Join us for panels on constructing, buying, and performing with furry puppets.
Organizer: Blackfeather Tanfur
Panels related to exploring and discussing various aspects of furry spirituality, including what exactly it is to each of us, and doing some practical exercises to contact our 'inner furry'. Join us in this exploration!
The Gaming and RPG track will focus on those games and role-playing games that in some way tie into the furry subculture. We will be presenting open gaming nights and demo/play to learn sessions of the RPG's and CCG's that interest members of the furry community. In addition we intend to present a Midnight Dance, Live action role-play in the fuzzy side of the world of darkness.
Whelplings need not apply. MFM is proud to present programming dedicated to members of our fandom over the age of 35.
Information on building and performing in Fursuit.
Art panels, and Art demonstrations. From Basic to Advanced.
An art form where your medium is words and your canvas is your readers’ imaginations. This track will discuss furry in literature both historical and contemporary. Also discussed will be how to incorporate anthropomorphics in writing and what skills and talents are required. A getting-started workshop is planned along with a round robin writer's table (for fun.)
