Okay, which of these two movies are you most excited about?

I would have put in more movies, since there are plenty of possible choices for 2016, but the polls seem to be ... glitching, so I'll do two on two match-ups about once a week. So, you know, a little quicker turnaround than the traditional six months.

Next week, Finding Dory versus The Secret Lives of Pets, huh?

Wow, I think that's a pretty conclusive poll already.

Uh, yeah.

The Kung Fu Panda series is fun but... a tad boring in many respects. The character designs are a repetition of the same template if they're not in the main cast. Even in the second movie the other masters were basically background characters with speaking roles.
What I've loved most of the first two Panda movies were the villains... and we didn't get to see enough in either of those movies. The first one was great with the training montage of Po and his excitement of the world around him, he was too much of a master by the second movie to really feel his wonderment anymore. Plus I'm not too thrilled with Cranston doing the voice of Po's father, in general I haven't been a fan of many of the voice actor choices in this film series - feels like they mistake acting credentials with voice-acting credentials.
Overall it's no surprise KFP3, at least currently, isn't doing so hot in this poll - most films suffer from sequelitis.

Zootopia is a new story and it looks to have a lot of qualities furries like, at the very least we're intrigued by a new film taking place in a world of anthropomorphic characters. It may crash hard but visually it's offering a lot of variety and detail that KFP doesn't have in its characters.

I had not voted on this because, to be honest, I wasn't sure of the answer for myself! Now I THINK that Zootopia is edging out, but ONLY because it's a new property and not a sequel. On the other paw, Kung Fu Panda 2 was not only one of my favorite furry films, not only one of my favorite animated films... it was one of my favorite MOVIES of all time. So it would be lying for me to say that KFP3 is not getting me excited. Very VERY tough choice.
