"Men Charged for Taping Explosive to Bunny
Two Calififornia Men Charged for Taping Explosive to Pet Rabbit"

It seemed like luck had run out for Lucky the rabbit. Strapped to a powerful explosive with a lit fuse, she was tossed into a lake. But Lucky lived up to her name. The explosive didn't blow up, and the rabbit was pulled out of the water.

Now Lucky's college-bound owner and his friend face misdemeanor charges of animal cruelty after photos of the July 13 incident surfaced on the Internet.

Missing Kentucky Snow Leopard

Your rating: None Average: 5 (2 votes)

Attempts to capture a declawed snow leopard that escaped its owner's home in Shepherdsville, Kentucky this week have been unsuccessful, and the owner says he is afraid someone will hurt the endangered animal.

The 2-year-old leopard, owned by Tim Peveler, is white with black spots. Being declawed lessens the chance that it would harm people or other animals, said Mark Marraccini, a spokesman for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Free at Last: Born Captive Dolphins to be Released

Exposing the lies that $leazy World has been telling for decades, Dolphin Reef Eilat, of Israel, is planning another release of captive-born dolphins.

The dolphin population there has dwindled and is on the verge of extinction. The efforts of all the countries surrounding the Black Sea (ACCOBAMS Organization), as well as the recognition of the dolphins living in it (TURSIOPS TRUNCATUS PONTICUS) as an endangered species (according to the international CITES treaty), has contributed to significant improvement and rejuvenation of the Black Sea. The transfer of the dolphins from the Reef to the Black Sea is one of the rehabilitation measures, carried out in cooperation between the Severtsov Russian Academy of Science and Dolphin Reef. Two dolphins, Shandy (10 year old male) and Pashosh (12 year old female), born at Dolphin Reef to parents originally from the Black Sea, are being transferred back to the Black Sea. Shandy and Pashosh will fly on Monday, July 26th, from Eilat to the Utrish Biological Research Station at the Black Sea, where they will meet a pair of local dolphins. After a stay of about one month at the Research Station, the four dolphins will be released into the Black Sea. This release project is backed and accompanied by local and international environmental groups, such as the Nature Reserves Authority in Israel and in Russia, and ACCOBAMS organization.

Ok... maybe it is.

I wonder if Lucasfilm arranged this picture to coincide with their announcement last saturday of the next movie's title "Revenge of the Sith". Or maybe it's actually a really, really expensive, but super-secret location shoot? [grins]

Imagine being laid up in a hospital and, as you’re wheeled down the sterile hallway, along strolls a three-foot-tall horse wearing yellow rubber booties and a backpack full of daisies. No, you’re not having a morphine-induced hallucination, you haven’t died and landed in some kind of surreal Barnum & Bailey heaven. You’ve just met Lucky Boy, one of the thousands of animals making the rounds at hospitals across the United States.

A three and a half foot long hare from Holland can't hold any records in the Guiness Book of World Records. They just won't list them due to the fear that it would only encourage owners to overfeed their pets.
